The campsites themselves are amazing, the camp attendant (Ida) however is an extremely rude person and completely wrecked our camping trip. She started the conversations by being nasty right from the first time we met her. There is a better way to deal with paying guests who just want to enjoy their vacation. Won’t go there again until she’s replaced or retired.

Beautiful spot to camp. Great launch spot for canoeing onward. Some parts of this area can be really crowded on summer weekends--the word seems to have gotten out about it, but it is worthy of its popularity. ...Don't expect a remote rec site feel, this is indeed very campground-y.

Camp operators are extremely rude and aggressive! Barely pulled in before we were verbally assaulted by her so we went to south site where he followed and continued the assault! I’m a 12 time super host and local guide who was appalled by the most nasty hosts I’ve ever met! Not worth the harassment by them or the uncontrolled dogs.

What a great campsite! We loved it. Very basic services - a campsite and an outhouse. The outhouse was clean and well maintained. If you need water, there is a glacier-fed creek with great water. The gentleman taking care of the site was very friendly and helpful. They sell firewood for a reasonable rate. Hard to beat $12 per night camping. Remember that you will have to haul out your own garbage. The road getting out there is a little rough, but we easily drove it in a small car.

One of the most scenic Summer recreation spots on Kootenay Lake. Garland Bay is paradise for paddle sports, swimming, fishing, lakeside camping, spectacular Kootenay Lake vistas and vivid sunsets. It is quiet in the Spring and Fall, but can be very busy during the Summer months. There are North and South camping sections separated by a creek mouth and a central area of private property. One of my personal favorite spots on Kootenay Lake.

Great spot, no issues with camp host who was business like and helpful.

A mix of sites for larger and smaller rigs, mostly level. Some sites isolated, some close together. Some on beach, some in trees, some by creek. Nice gravel beach, boat launch. Bay usually protects from prevailing winds. Steep road down to sight a little rough. Great view of the lake from many sites.

This is a small but perfect spot for fishing, kayaking or just kicking back The road is a little rough but slow going and your gold. The campsite have a very chill vibe with no loud music or motor boat blasting around. The camp hosts are very nice and truly look after this site. We were surprised to see an earlier comment about them being rude … it nice to have a host who takes such care of a site and all the folks who stay here?? We will definitely be retuning to this gem on the Kootenay
