The hike up to Garabali Lake and Taylor Meadows is via this trail. It's is a good beginner trail if your camping, and can be done as a day hike if you start early and keep a good pace. Start early, this is a busy trail for a good reason. It is a big carpark with plenty of space while the passes are in play, but typically gets very full. For my group it was our first hike carrying full packs for 2 nights of camping. The trail up is well shaded and is a series of long switchbacks with continuous incline the entire way (don't be told otherwise). We had 2 people track the hike and both clocked 9-10kms one way to Taylor Meadows. We took approx 4hrs to get to Taylor Meadows including a lunch break and general stops. The trail was well graded with only a few rocky, uneven sections, but it was quite dry and dusty when we went. Be mindful that there aren't any out-houses on the trail. The grind is so worth it though! Taylor Meadows is a quiet camp site for the more chilled hikers. It's about 20mins downhill hike to the Lake (a must do) where the campers are a bit more rowdy but the views are incredible. Be prepared to walk in water to get around the lake, but make sure you do and atleast walk around to the islands. Taylor Meadows is also a better location to hike out to Panorama hike from, no uphill slog to start your off. Hike back to the parking lot was only 2-2.5hrs, and I highly recommend poles if you have packs on. It saves the knees!! All round 100% worth it. Breathtaking location but it's all about what you do once you get to the top!

I did the garibaldi trail and it took about 6 hours there and back. Overall it’s a tough trail if you’re not experienced so come prepared with appropriate clothing and snacks. The view is great at the top, make sure to go to the lookout.

A long and seemingly endless hike upwards to an astonishingly gorgeous view of Garibaldi lake. Every view just a feast for the eyes awaits your arduous journey up to the lake.

We hiked Garibaldi lake on July 7th. The trail was dry and not crowded. We started at 8h30 and got to the lake around noon but stopped many times. Photos can’t do justice for how beautiful the lake is. It is all worth it in the end.

Hiked the mountain up to Garibaldi Lake. It was drizzling but the trail was still good. I was a little surprised with how wet we got under the trees by the time we got to the lake. It was not easy. I wouldn't suggest bring small children, and even your teenagers might revolt. It's is basically 6 km of serious incline and 3 km of not so bad at the top.... Just remember you have to come back down. I don't say that to deter you - just know it's a longer hike. Along with the drizzle there was some fog and therefore not the most picturesque day, but the colour of the lake is still stunning. Unfortunately not the best pictures of the lake colour today.

Such a great hike. And even better reward at the top. Except for the biting bugs! Beware or be prepared. Deer flies and mozzies will chase you up and down. But dipping into that crystal blue water, makes all them bugs..want you more....But really, its a great hike for a day hike excursion, go get that top photo.

Went there in Feb end for hike to Garibaldi lake. Road to the parking is well maintained. Passes were not needed in 2021-22 winters. It's somehow colder in parking than the hike. During snow some part of the parking is covered in snow. Still good availability of parking slots.
