Upon walking into the restaurant, the entire place was a mess. Dine-in was open and I asked the waitress for a table to be seated at. Most of the tables were covered with unused hot plates and general restaurant equipment. The whole restaurant smelled like a bathroom that was just cleaned (whole restaurant had a bit of a chlorine smell to it). Both doors to each washroom were wide open next to all the tables where customers were seated at. After ordering my food anyway, the food was extremely soupy and my noodles smelled burnt. Just all around the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The food is also very overpriced and you’d be better off spending the same amount of money at a decent sushi or Korean BBQ restaurant. I can’t believe how bad this place is!

Food was great! I would say it is the best Chinese restaurant in Durham area. Though I am not a fan of Indian food but it was not too much oriental to eat. I took out cilantro and maybe I could ask to the kitchen for excluding cilantro. I visited a few times before COVID but it was pretty hard to call servers, seemed they didn’t care once they got the orders and served the food. Recommend to ask everything in one time when you place the order. Once they leave then it is more harder to call them. But still I will visit again for sure because they make delicious food.

We used to frequent Tangerine a lot pre-pandemic, because the food was fresh, tasted good and the service was good. However, since the pandemic, the quality has gone down, portions seem to be much smaller and the service at pick up is just bad. I asked for soy sauce for soup and she gave two small sachets… for four people. I asked for a few more and she gave one more with a lot of attitude. I’m sure they’ve been affected by the pandemic too but service, quality and quantity going down significantly was not expected.

Wow what a delicious food. We tried mango chicken, vegitarian tangerine special balls and vegetarian fried rice.

First time ordering here. Ordered the lunch special. Menu online and on google is not updated. So expect to pay an extra 30%. My lunch special with fried rice came to 12$~. Went to pick up order and the entire restaurant is a mess. I understand due to lockdown, there’s no dine in (even tho dine in is now permitted), the restaurants condition really throws you off and you start doubting the food you ordered. When i got the food, taste and flavour was good. Only downside was there was a lot of rice and barely any chicken. Quality: 7/10 Quantity: 5/10 Restaurant presentation: 1/10

Firstly, as shown in the pic, we had to throw half of the noodles as the box melted, the other half was hot and tasted just ok. The second noodles box was good as the noodles were barely warm! lol. Its funny that there were no prices mentioned in the online menu book. Nice fancy page turning animation but no prices lol. Lastly, the girl on the phone taking the order was..... Therefore, definitely not coming back and would not suggest the place to anyone either.

Just got home after picking up an order and to my surprise (and not in a good way) I find feathers still attached to my chicken wings. Called up the restaurant, and was told if I bring them back and if there are actually feathers, I’ll get a free replacement. Restaurant is now closed. I told her it’s a bit late, can’t make it back tonight, and ask if there’s anything else they can do. Here’s where it gets funny. She said no there’s nothing they can do. I’m told that it’s the suppliers fault for not cleaning the chicken and that they don’t have the time to go over and check the pieces or clean them and that it’s normal to have just a few feathers on a piece of chicken. And that because I’m a regular customer, that I should know this and understand it. I asked “so what you’re saying that it’s normal for your restaurant to not check your meat, not clean it, that it’s normal for there to be feathers, and there’s nothing you can do about that?” She said “yes that is correct. Sorry”. I’m giving them two stars because I do enjoy their food. But sorry even that is generous if you’re not going to check the condition and cleanliness of your poultry before serving customers. That’s disturbing. Been going to this place for years. Gladly there are numerous better halal Hakka joints in the area now.

The food was okay. The chicken lollipops were more just chicken wings, noodles were good and the beef was okay. Definitely some better choices out there but good for a quick meal Washroom was dirty and had a mop over the sink, how are people supposed to wash their hands
