I wish that I could give this company 0 star. I have never been more disappointed then I have in this company that was recommended to me by a friend. In the end I went to good old Home Depot and received excellent customer service and product. Home Depot all day everyday.

Normally I drive to Oshawa to put in big orders of plywood every few months at Peacock Lumber because their prices can’t be beat. I ran out of a few sheets earlier than expected so I called around to more local places to see who had 1/8 inch white standard hardboard in stock. I spoke to Matt on Monday who said they didn’t right now but he’d check if he could order it in and call me back. I got a voicemail from him letting me know that they would be in stock in 1-2 days and that I could call back of order . I called 3x over the next 2 days to order and couldn’t get through to him- the receptionist was rude, claiming not to hear me, hung up in me twice . When I finally reached someone that was willing to listen I was told Matt wasn’t available and was transferred to John. John didn’t know what type of wood I was talking about and kept insisting on knowing what it was for . I run a laser business so it’s not standard use for the plywood so he seemed confused and acted very put off. I asked for him to get Matt to call me , and john proceeded to call me back a few minutes later saying Matt said he’d never spoken to me and that they only deal with customers that have accounts . I explained I was more than happy to make an account as I would be happy to order more in the future . He snubbed me and reminded me again that he didn’t know what wood type I was talking about and that Matt didn’t know me . I put through an order with Turkstra lumber in 5 min right after finishing the very frustrating call with Tamarack Lumber . I do not recommend this company whatsoever as they are rude on the phone and have no idea how to provide basic customer service.
B	Bashir Popal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought pocket doors for about $600 from this place. The associate was great. I picked up the door frame asked all questions including the fact if this specific door frame would fit my 85” rough opening and he confirmed. Came home and opened the box. Took the instructions sheet out and the door frame was bigger than 85”. Left the instructions sheet back and took the door frame back to get something that would fit but As soon as Gary the associate, saw me he started first saying that I am wrong and the frame would fit 85” opening when he measured the box and realized I was right, he was rude and said we don’t take it back. I was never told the item was final sale and I was reassured it would fit my rough opening. They are the nicest ppl when you purchase but try returning and they will be the rudest ppl on the face of this earth!!! I said I will share my experience and they yelled saying we don’t care. They said our clients are guys with big trucks who buy bulk!!! Yet they are open to public and I saw many ppl buying just one or a few items like any other hardware store. My suggestion, go to Lowes, Home Depot etc at least they won’t yell at you and would gladly take their item back! Oh btw, there is a new store called Cosmaroma Next to the Brick store in Burlington for all your reno needs. Great ppl, good quality products and their prices are unbelievable!
