★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great short hike in the Castle Wildland Provincial Park. Amazing views at the summit overlooking Beaver Mine Lake. You will be tested on the way to the summit with slight scrambling. Overall it is worth the hike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hike took 4 hours from start to finish including lots of breaks. We hiked on May 26th and there was still a lot of snow near the top and very muddy at the bottom. My first “real” hike so if I can do it I’m sure you can!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trailhead for this great hike is accessible from the Beaver Mines Lake Campground & is marked throughout with some flags to help guide you up the ravine.
It's a moderate day but can be steep at some parts. If you're planning to reach the top, plan for at least 4-5 hours for the roundtrip depending on your preferred pace.
The views are amazing and varied throughout various segments of the hike and the short scramble near the end makes the view at the top that much sweeter to take in. It can be cold and windy up there, plan to have some warmer threads. Enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely intermediate hike. Trailhead is conveniently located in the beaver Mines campground, on the right after driving past loop A heading in. Can swim in the lake after on a nice day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ beautiful mountain and a beautiful hike up. the view from the top is breathtaking, and theres a nice stream that runs down beside the path up at some points. the rock is all sorts of colors, and there are lots trees until you get up above the treeline. the hike up is definitely worth the view when you summit.
