Disappointed with the new setup, however it has been done really well and there's power there now. Really miss the old group sites though!

I spent 3 nights at Group Campsite A in early August 2021. Frankly, I found the set up to be incredible. I haven't done a lot of group camping, but this has everything you'd need. I can only speak for Group A, but I imagine the other side is the same. There are 11 fully-powered RV sites in a loop around a central, fully-enclosed shelter. The shelter has a small wood-fire stove (primarily for heating the room), ceiling fans, ceiling lights, 4 picnic tables, and a plethora of power outlets running along the counters on each side. At the end of the loop, you'll find a two-stall outhouse. No water but it does have motion-activated lights inside that come on at night. It was very clean and fully stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. There is only one fire pit, located at the center of the loop, near the shelter. There is a nice curated rock bench wrapped around half the fire pit with plenty of room for lawn chairs. There is a "drinking water tap" located near the entrance to be shared by both loops. Best of all, just behind the group A loop is a stream with a path running along it to explore. If you walk upstream, you will find a deeper pool surrounded by rocks that is chilly but good for swimming. Overall, I had a fantastic 3-night stay at Syncline. It felt like we had an entire campground to ourselves. The other loop had a wedding reception with 60 people one night and we barely heard them. This would be a great spot for camping in the elbow seasons when the weather isn't so reliable. Having the enclosed, powered, and lit structure was a game changer. I'm confident I will return in the future! Just to note: - There is no cell reception. - The village of Beaver Mines is 15 mins down the highway if you need to stock up on food, ice, alcohol, or firewood. - Castle Falls is about 20 mins away down a dirt road. Worth the trip.
