My son has a speech disorder and as a result has a very hard time learning to read and write. This leads to huge frustration in all areas of his life and requires multiple levels of support in and out of school. Add this to the fact he could be the most strong willed child I have ever met and you can imagine our struggle to find resources that actually worked and he would participate in. We had a bit of a rocky start (as predicted) but now he runs into the building excited to get working and learning. He feels very successful and proud of the work he turns out, it’s such great feeling to see his confidence increasing. Nancy and Polly are exceptional educators and have bent over backwards to accommodate my son. They communicate regularly if something works or not, include any suggestions I may have-I don’t doubt they would do kart wheels if that was was the best learning tool for my child. In the last 2 months we’ve gone from not even being able to identify letters to reading simple sight words. It’s an investment that is already paying dividends, I would recommend them, and regularly do, to anyone whose child needs extra support to get to the next level.
