V	Victoria Reedman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Swell surfing was awesome! I was really nervous about surfing in the cold, but the wet suits were totally insulating. My surf instructors were safe, clear, gave lots of feedback, and helped me to gradually improve. By the end of the day, I had gotten to my feet 4-5 times thanks to their teaching. Swell also has options for adaptive surfing for surfers with disabilities. Would highly recommend! Would definitely go back for another lesson and/or board rentals.

It was my first time and I was super nervous but they both made me feel I can do it. They were patient with me and guided me all throughout. I am definitely going back to get regular lessons so I can start surfing as my hobby. Also, I want to send them something. Please let me know how can I send a thank you gift for them. S	Shauna Madsen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are so happy with our experience at Swell. We rented surfboards, body boards, and wetsuits for two adults and two children (10yr and 14yr). Very easy to communicate with and arrange our rental online! Phillipe (and Malcolm) were fantastic getting us set up with gear that fit us well. Super friendly and helpful taking the time to chat with us about gear tips, local beaches, and options based on the current season and weather. The Hotel Zed location is conveniently located. The gear we rented was great, no issues whatsoever, and had a blast playing in the waves for hours in April! Would not hesitate to recommend Swell for surfing gear!

They take a lot of time for each lesson - 3hrs in total from getting changed to returning the gear. All the gear for the lesson was in great condition and they got the sizing right on the first try! The booking through their online portal is super convenient. Will rent here again when I'm back to Tofino.

He was a great help, and gave awesome tips to get you understanding the basics of surfing, and setting yourself up, to stand up! Highly recommend. They also accommodated my last minute request to change the lesson to the following day due to lots of rain. Lastly, the shop is easy access and not chaotic at all.

They helped us prepare the gear and made some quick adjustments for the kids to feel as comfortable as possible in wet suits. The two surf instructors were great with our kids 8 & 6 years old. The kids enjoyed their surf instructors as well. The adults had a blast!!!!! Well done LB and A.

Easy gear rental (lots of sizes and options for wet suits, surf boards, and any accessory you could need), friendly staff, quick process. We were assisted by a lovely employee from Brazil and he was fantastic (wish I had his name to recognize more publically). I was able to find a size 16 women's wet suit (often not available) that they let me take home to try on. I played in the waves with a body board and had a blast while my partner and his friend surfed with gear from them as well. Will absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking to rent in the Tofino area!
