Sutton Smithworks Ltd. - Winnipeg

I have been dealing with Sutton Smithworks since approximately 2012. I don't wear a lot of jewellery so I don't visit often but am always more than satisfied when I do. I recently visited their new location in the Exchange for the first time and wow, what a lovely new showroom! It is bright, spacious and not at all intimidating. I had a few reasons for my visit: 1) I have an antique ring that needed to be repaired 2) A nearly 30 year old silver necklace that was badly tarnished 3) To purchase a "placeholder" ring as I don't like wearing my wedding jewellery when travelling for fear of losing it I was more than pleased when I was called to come and pick everything up 3 days later.. My antique ring looks amazing and I will be able to wear it for many years to come. My necklace looks absolutely brand new! I wish I had taken before and after pictures because it is gleaming. I also now have a lovely little silver ring to wear on my vacation, but also one I would be happy to wear on my right hand day-to-day going forward. The staff at Sutton Smithworks is top notch. I have dealt with Tom and Peggy in the past and they have always been friendly, patient and clearly love what they do. I recently met Holly and she is a wonderful addition to the team. She is very knowledgeable, a great salesperson (not at all pushy - but I definitely left with a new bottle of cleaner!) and does a great job keeping their social media pages updated, which is important to someone my age! All in all, I couldn't say more positive things about Sutton Smithworks. I refer them to all my friends and I'm sure they will be able to assist you with any of your jewellery needs!

My fiance and I had such an amazing experience with Sutton Smithworks, specifically Holly. We were in search of an engagement ring, and she was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and all around awesome. We found the perfect ring and she made us feel so comfortable. We just got my fiance's wedding band custom designed there as well and it turned our perfect. Would definitely recommend them for their professionalism, unique products and custom designs. If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! I had wanted a ring in an art-deco style for quite some time. After many searches, I immediately decided that it would be from Sutton Smithworks, as I had never seen any rings as unique as theirs- with the architectural interest and detail. It turned out that the specific ring I wanted was no longer available, so they custom made it for me, and they were such a pleasure to work with. The ring's detail is incredibly precise, and looks even better in person than it did in the photos! Thank you all at Sutton Smithworks! I will definitely return to them in the future for their other equally unique pieces!

I had a ring repair done at Sutton’s. I hadn’t worn it for a couple years as it had a missing diamond. Tom showed me where I was missing claws on two more diamonds, my ring was in far worse shape than I thought. The repair was prompt ( <7days) and the cost was far less than I expected. Don’t take your repairs anywhere else. I later returned with my husband as he had lost his wedding band at the lake last summer. Peggy helped us choose a beautiful custom ring, designed and crafted at the shop. Again, I found the price reasonable, honesty and integrity do not cost extra.

I brought a badly damaged ring (from the 40's) that belonged to my Grandma to Sutton Smithworks. The band was cracked and pieces were missing. I wish I had a before picture to compare. I also brought my own gold rings that I no longer wore, and asked if they could repair my Grandma's ring, using the gold from the rings I brought in. The ring had huge sentimental value to me, so I was really nervous about it. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! The price was so reasonable, and the ring is restored to its original beauty (when my Grandpa gave it to her, all those years ago). I cannot say enough about the craftsmanship and quick, competent service!

Even though my required service was minor, the way in which accommodation was made for it to be done in less than 10 minutes was admirable and much appreciated. Great service, speedy service, respectful staff.

Had an amazing experience with Sutton. We went in looking for a quote on a custom engagement ring, however my partner had also found a ring on their website that had peaked her interest. Throughout our consultation, my partner must have tried on the ring (which was a significantly lower price than the custom piece we had in mind) about 3 or 4 times. At no point did we ever feel pressured to consider a more expensive piece. Even though it was a few months between the date of purchase and the proposal, Sutton made it very easy for us to come in and have the ring sized, which they did in about 45 minutes from the time we walked in the door to the time we left. The piece is gorgeous, my fiance is in love with it, and I would happily deal with them again in the future.

Engagement Ring resizing Came into city from out of province and had future daughter-in-law engagement ring resized and done in 15 minutes. Great service and quality work. Very happy with the service and price for quick turn around!
