Our Story
SureHire began our journey in Leduc, Alberta in 2004 as a small physiotherapy team assessing and treating clients who had been injured on the job site. Working with injured employees and their respective employers galvanized our passion for workplace injury prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation.
In 2005, these experiences ultimately lead us towards collaborations with innovative companies who, like us, were seeking a better system of prevention, early intervention, and a deeper understanding of worksite hazards and risk management. From our humble beginnings, SureHire has become a recognized leader in occupational testing with 10 independently owned testing facilities across Canada and one in the US, a network of over 80 exclusive testing facilities from coast to coast, and thousands of independent testing partners across North America.
We conduct hundreds of thousands of tests per year for thousands of clients in Canada and the US, and we strive to be Canada’s premier occupational testing company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to get occupational testing done here for a new job. Tanner and Sean were exceptional lads and were very kind and super patient with me during the entire process. They made the entire testing process incredibly smooth and easy. Testing went great and I ended up getting the job! Thanks for all your help guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most incompetent testing company I have ever had to deal with. I have been working a safety sensitive oil field job for almost 12 years and have never ever had to jump through so many hoops to pass a physical and urine test ever! There is zero communication between staff members paired with very low knowledge of there job to try and make this a easy and smooth process for you. Never ever send your workers there for testing unless you want your time and money wasted. All results came back positive, did not fail anything but took them 2 weeks to get to get that conclusion and made me miss 2 flights up north which results in thousands of dollars missed for me and my young family. I wish to never ever have to deal with there incompetency ever again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though I gave them a call ahead and told them I will be late for my appointment for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, she said; we let your company know after half an hour, without letting me to explain Why I will be late! Final I went there 35 minutes after my appointment, they refused to do my test, very rude and poor customer services, still try to explain why I have been late ( specially during this COVID-19) but still refused to take the test! After half an hour waiting in the reception another guy came to me said, we are closed 12:00-13:00,
I do not recommend this place at all but if your company still booked your test there, they have to be very lucky, other wise I will never go back to that place ever

The lady I did my mask fitting test with was an ABSOLUTE GEM. 2 years ago, it was a lady with a nasty attitude, and I told myself I would never return to this location. But I came back, prepared to have another person who would be extremely rude to me again; but to my surprise, I had an amazing experience with this lovely lady. I wish I gotten her name (She is full figured, really pretty, medium/short height, & amazing an personality!) <3
She was the only female working at the front desk. My appointment was at 2:15 and she did my mask fit test. She is so lovely, & I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves! :D

Was greated by very polite staff told to fill out the forms. Got them done and straight into testing!
The 1st bit was preformed by Tanner who was very kind and explained whats happening as he was doing it.
I didnt catch the 2nd guys name who did the actual physical part of the test. But none the less very professional and could double up as a personal trainer.
Overall very positive experience. I think lots of these negative reviews were due to people failing drug tests and looking to blame someone or their own shear incompetence

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just updating my previous review from 2018. I honestly can’t figure out why people leave such bad reviews, maybe they’re just mad they know they’re going to fail the drug test. The staff I dealt with today were nothing short of phenomenal, very friendly and professional. The girl with black hair doing the physical portion of the test with us was amazing, super encouraging and made the fitness test actually fun. Thank you. I know most people don’t have a choice where their employer sends them for any kind of testing but I cannot recommend this place enough.
Original review (2018):
Was originally scheduled for 9am on a Thursday. Place had a fire and I was moved to the next day closer to closing time. Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews. Change of staff / management maybe. Although they were obviously swamped with extra appointments from the previous day staff was friendly and professional (shorter girl with brunette hair tied in a bun, scrubs - didn’t catch her name, was great).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is fine but In my case I specifically told them it was rush and would except the result in 4 days , they told me it was 2-5 days. Took the test on Monday and when I called them on Friday they said that we just sent sample for testing would take over the weekend to receive my result. I know there are others in front of me which I’m totally fine with but if they told it would take over a week I would have probably gone to another testing company, now I can’t work for a week. You can’t give false deadlines and lure customers, if can’t do it please let us know so we can make an informed decision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Why did it take nearly three hours for my employee to finish his physical and drug test? It should be a one hour operation MAX.
Never will be using sure hire ever again. This is not the first time I've had an awful experience and I could bet it wouldn't be the last if I keep using there awful services
And the strip mall that surehire uses is DISGUSTING, for how much money this company brings in every 1/4 you'd think they could afford a nicer space... you know one that's not located next to a grimy gross massage parlour
