Buyer be ware! I've heard nothing but bad things about this place from people who have put stuff on consignment. They aren't getting paid and have to fight for their money from sold items. Also their hours are constantly changing and not buyer friendly.

Consigned 2 items with this shop, after not hearing anything for almost a year and numerous attempts on Facebook, email i finally got a message that one of my items had sold and that I would get an email with payment details. No response again numerous weeks later. Finally got a response that the Facebook page would be closing and that I would get an email and to submit my email and that my payment date was set for Dec 15 a substantial amount of time after the actual sale of my product which is not what the contract states. Have not received transfer into my account and unable to get ahold of consigner. Absolute trash company, no communication about items. Will be contacting the police if I do not receive payment by end of day today. Stay away from this scammer.

If you look below the owner is the only one who left a remotely decent review. Extremely unprofessional, I have been warned by many co-signers to not bring my items here. A friend of mine bailed her out of collections with her shipping company, as she felt she was helping and the owner agreed to pay her back and won’t. Because as the owner said she did it on her own accord which she did, and has admitted to all of us it was her mistake thinking helping a β€œfriend” The owner is not someone I would want to deal with after seeing many individuals first hand interactions with her. She has peoples belongings held hostage and can’t ever β€œget into the city” due to multiple issues over and over as she has said to many of the people trying to get their items. Sad a good idea but needs a better owner. Collections, not paying your co-signers, not paying people back for bailing you out of a jam. Pay your bills, and someone wouldn’t feel the need to help you, and I’ve personally heard 7 different collection voicemails left in the last 2 months. I am glad I didn’t bring my thousands of dollars worth of stuff here, I thought it would be good but I am mistaken.

I consigned items with this tack store in January 2021. Over the course of the year, they managed to sell two items. When I requested payment for the items per my contract (immediate EMT upon sale), I was informed that the contract had changed and I would be paid out a month later. Since I didn’t sign the new contract, I requested payment per the terms of my existing contract. Payment was provided over a week later. Now I’m trying to pick up my remaining items and the store owner will not reply to texts or phone calls and is deleting comments on their Facebook page, requesting them to contact me. When speaking to other business owners in their building, I was informed that the store owner doesn’t show up often or at random times and that I’m not the first patron to be looking for items that she has. At this point, I cannot recommend this tack store. Katie, call me to rectify this.

Very disappointed. Was promised payment for a consignment item by January 15, 2022. Did not receive payment or any response to my inquiries after. I understand several people have had this sort of experience. Unfortunately I do not recommend.

Only giving 1 star since I can't give 0!!! BEWARE!!! I consigned a number of items with this shop in September 2021. I was informed by the store manager at the time (not the owner) when 2 of my items had sold. As per the contract I signed, I was to be paid out at the end of the month in which the sales took place, which was Sept and Oct. When I reached out to the store owner Katie in early November asking why I had not been paid yet, she stated I needed to request the money 30 days in advance. Nowhere in the contract did it say anything about me needing to do this. I texted her for 2 days until she responded, and I asked for my money but she said my text wasn't sufficient and that I needed to email a request for payout. Again, no mention of that in the contract. The fact that I was not paid for my items according to the contract I signed was a breach of contract, so I then emailed her and formally requested immediate payout and notified her of termination of my contract as it had been breached by her and I did not wish to do business with someone who conducted themselves in such an irresponsible and unprofessional manner. She tried using the excuse that she lived in Athabasca as a reason for not running her shop (in Sherwood park) properly, but I don't see how that is my problem! I was able to schedule a date with her to pick up my remaining items, and she promised payment on December 1st. She also informed me one of my bridles was unaccounted for so she'd pay me for that as well. Turns out that actually 2 of my bridles and a pair of winter riding pants had gone missing. She stood me up when I tried to pick up my items the first time despite promising to inform me if her plans changed at all, and then she didn't return my text messages until 3 days later. We rescheduled again, and she still promised to pay me Dec 1. On my second attempt to get my property, she needed to reschedule again, and she couldn't answer for why I had not been paid when promised, she said she'd look into it since it "should have processed". Finally we met and I got my remaining items back. I asked her when I would be paid and she said that she couldn't give me a date now! She tried to blame her former store manager for all of her issues, to which I responded that I didn't care to hear any more excuses I just want my money. As a business owner, you need to pay the people that you do business with before you get paid yourself! And for the record, her former manager is not responsible for the ridiculous way that Katie runs that place, she's created this mess all by herself!! Consider yourself warned, do not conduct business with this farce of a shop in Sherwood Park, or Athabasca, or anywhere else!!!

Does this place even exist anymore? Went there today because according to google they're open. No signage out front. Finally found the address, and was very confused with what I found. They're supposed to be in unit 223 I think? If you don't exist anymore, please remove your Google profile.
