A	Akram Hamad on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Manager was extremely rude and disrespectful , we were responsible adults a group of families who booked a boat and seadoo we trusted this business by providing our information to have fun with our kids and friends but that mean manager ruined our day although we drove all the way from Calgary to that looser’s office to complete the paperwork ontime and willing pay him accordingly,,,, good luck looser many low. ⭐️ reviewers we wished if there less than one star that what your review deserves because of your impolite behaviour would result,,,

We had a great time at Sylvan Lake and will definitely return later in winter for ice fishing! I highly recommend this place and to book your boat in advance to avoid waiting lines.
S	Saba Kasim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager refused to rent out a boat and two seadoos at the same time to our group, assuming that we wouldn't follow his rule (which he made up on the spot) and use the equipment irresponsibly close to each other! He emphasized that he's tracking all his vehicle's movements on the water via GPS, which makes me wonder what the benefit of such a rule is when he can track his customers, see what they're up to and charge them for any damages? All he did was limit his opportunities to rent more and to grow his business, as well as preventing everyone from getting out on the water to have fun. The way he explained his rule was unprofessional, rude, unacceptable, and doesn't reflect the over 22 years of experience he claimed he has. With so much experience, I expected a manager who could deal with his customers more elegantly, know how to handle different situations aside from base assumptions and judgments. He lacked basic customer services skills like empathy, adaptability, the ability to use positive language, and patience. He is causing poor customer experiences due to his own shallow rules and opinions. I hope this manager will work on improving his management skills. And make good use of the GPS technology to enhance his customer's experience and make them feel safe rather than being tracked and watched!

I’ve been here twice, first time the employees didn’t even look us in the eye and ever so clearly looked like they didn’t want to be there. Second time I went with a bigger group and tried to rent two seadoos and a boat but the manager said they couldn’t for “insurance reasons” and did not even explain what that meant. I completely understand if there’s liability issues and they’ve had rude/untrustworthy customers before but that’s no excuse to not even be the slightest bit apologetic that we couldn’t all go out in the water to have some fun, basically told us take it or beat it. Mind you he tried to brag that he’s the only person In Alberta with that rule like it was golden!! The employees at the water docs explaining how to drive were much nicer! Definitely put me in a better mood. Great water experience but horrible renting process.

The guys in the front desk are dealing with people through a stiff face, not even a little smile, the manager whom we thought would be more understanding was worse than them. We had a booking on the phone one day before going there for a boat and 2 jet skis, we were told that the rules are to keep the boat and skis 100 meters apart from each other, so we agreed to there rules and they advised us to be 20 minutes before time to do the paperwork and to pay for the rentals. We drove for 2 hours to the lakeside, we were on time at there office to be surprised that they would rent us the skis, but the boat after 2 hours of our booking time, there excuse was that they don’t trust us to keep the rules of keeping a distance at water which didn’t make sense to us as they gave us the 2 skis, so how would they make sure of us keeping distance between them but not the boat ?? The manager was rude to us and his attitude was not acceptable at all, we were not sure if he was following the rules or if had rent the boat to someone else, anyhow, that was our worst experience in a supposed to be a good and fun day but he ruined it for us.

The employees at the office were disrespectful, and overall in a bad mood, which is not a good sign for a business, especially in the industry of watersports and other recreational entertainment. To make matters worse, the manager himself had the same attitude as the employees, being disrespectful, and boasting he is the only one in Alberta with a rule that prohibits renting a jet ski and speedboat at the same time. I can see why it may be a safety risk, but GPS trackers exist, and I have been to many places where they would let us rent two vehicles at once with no issue. Its their loss anyways, they lost a considerable amount of money. In the end, had the employees and manager have better attitudes, then maybe this place would have deserved a 4 star, but in this case, one star would be my highest rating.

Not only were the accommodations clean, comfortable and warm; but the customer service was unmatched. If I had had qurstion day or night, it was answered within minutes. Chris and his staff were friendly, welcoming and created an atmosphere that was inviting- causing us yo already talk about 'so when can we come back?' Thanks Sun Sport for ensuring that all the seasons of the year have the opportunity to be enjoyed...comfortably!
