★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sun Country Rentals made my move from Ontario to Red Deer for a contract job so easy! They helped me find a place right near my work and got all the paperwork done in advance so I was able to move in as soon as I arrived in Red Deer. They were a pleasure to deal with and quick to deal with any issues that came up. The option of furnished/unfurnished places as well as the short term lease options made it ideal for my situation. Would absolutely rent from them again if ever back in Alberta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of their staff at discovery pointe were great and friendly, and thats for the 1 star im giving them. Otherwise id give them a negative star. You can leave their rental place spotless but they would find that tiny stuff to make sure they wont need to give you your deposits back, even though we left the place cleaner and better than it was when we moved in. Plus one of the chairs was broken on the first week, and was never replaced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was in poor condition when moved in the bath tub was full of lint and they expected us to return it spotless.... and took all damage deposit. The storage unit which was never used was at first "great condition" but then upon return "dusty", they even took money for not dusting the back of the TV, lol what a joke.if only I took pictures of the suite when I moved in I would've been able to show you guys what crooks they are. If you move in, you need to he prepared for not being able to get ahold of them right away when needed, and you must take pictures so you're protected

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When a company refuses to follow the law on service dogs, they are guilty of discrimination, that is a violation of human rights and against the law. No company is above the law, for that reason I would not recommend renting from these people, they can’t be trustworthy if they break the law so willingly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay with Sun Country Rentals in Red Deer was excellent. This was my first time renting and I was very impressed. The office and maintenance staff were very accommodating and easy to deal with. Highly recommend using Sun Country Rentals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible communication on move out - charged "cleaning, cleaning supplies, and carpet cleaning" towards the damage deposit with no explanation. The suites were dirty when we arrived, so they definitely didn't apply their charges on whomever rented previous to us. Also disappointed in the lack of communication regarding "pro-rated rent", I was billed for this and it was deducted from the damage deposit without my knowledge! This is theft. I should note we rented 5 suites from them for a work trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything is normal when you move-in, BUT when you move out they find ways to charge you like 5hrs of cleaning, $20 extra for cleaning materials! And ~$100 carpet cleaning for a clean apt. Also they are not good and maintenance

Having rented from other property management companies and being extremely disappointed with the experience, I was hesitant in dealing with another property management company! I reluctantly decided to proceed with renting from Sun Country and can say that it was an excellent experience. All of the staff are professional, courteous and invested in their roles and providing good customer service. Don provided me different rental options when I first started viewing properties to ensure I got exactly what I was looking for. They do regular maintenance of the furnaces, smoke detectors, weather stripping etc., and work quickly to get any issues resolved in a timely manner. They are very responsive to emails and phone calls and I always felt listened to in my communications with them. They were very accommodating as well, by removing the in suite washer and dryer so I could use my own. My security deposit was returned in the allotted time as outlined in the Residential Tenancies Act also. If you’re looking for a property management company that genuinely cares about their properties and actually screen for good tenants, look no further as Sun Country Rentals will not disappoint.
