★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had an extremely unwelcoming experience on Saturday July 30 at shortly after noon. A table was set up with some art supplies and three of us made some art but were shooed away, essentially out of the library, because they were for some summer program. I understand, but don't make it appear to be so welcoming to others, maybe put it away? But it was the vicious scathing tone of the unwelcoming staff member that made us feel as though we had to leave. The explanation could have been worded much more warmly. Libraries should strive to be welcoming. I will never return, which is so sad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the Okanagan Regional library system for all of the resources that I have access to and the size of the collection since all of these branches are in one system. The new library is beautiful and inviting with lots of bright natural light. I have some disabled friends so now that it's at ground level, they can easily get in. I find the staff always friendly and helpful. Great selection and what they don't have they'll find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the ORL! Because it is a regional library, there are so many copies of popular books available that you don't have to wait too long to read a best seller. The Summerland branch is a beautiful library with lots of great activities going on for both adults and children. I visit there at least once a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The library staff are always very friendly and will take the time to assist you in getting reference materials for your projects. New library is very well set up for all user groups with work stations and rooms to use for presentations/meetings. Summerland is lucky to have this resource.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love my local library branch in Summerland, it's my favourite place in town. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist in any queries I might have. The new, pandemic method of operation is efficient.
In the future, it will be nice to be able to get back into the building and peruse the stacks?

Just returned from dropping off a book I'd finished, opted to look around....total jackpot with books on reconciliation and others for distraction (SF, fantasy).
Beautiful building, great staff, just a restorative place to be.?
