NATHAN H.

Nathan started his apprenticeship with NAIT at the age of 16. He has been working as a mechanic his whole adult life mainly in the heavy duty world. Nathan has worked on a vast variety of equipment including agricultural, construction, forestry, semis, and automotive. Overall, Nathan has always loved working on ATVs/ UTVs above all else. Nathan has a very well rounded knowledge base and can fix, repair or modify anything.

Nathan holds four Journeyman Certificates in the mechanical trades, two being internationally recognized Red Seals.

Nathan grew up in Sturgeon County and has continued to live in the area his entire life. He grew up on a farm playing with ATVs from a young age. Skidoos, Quads, Dirt bikes and Motorbikes have always been a passion of his. Nathan is the kind of guy that can’t leave anything factory. He is always pushing the limits of what he can build/repair. Nathan strives to build the best/most reliable machines. He loves doing the “impossible” whether its building mod sleds to go further, or building machines that can cross any water crossing. Nathan loves a challenge and always puts his heart and soul into the work he does.

Growing up in Tim’s childhood he knew early on that his passion in life was mechanics. Tim was exposed to many machines for example quads, snowmobiles, boats, cars and trucks. He would also watch his Grandfather fix and repair his farming equipment. In the summer they would go camping and boating. Then in the winter they would go snowmobiling and skiing. As equipment would break down, Tim would be the helper. Tim always would watch as his dad and his buddies fixed everything. Tim really started to grasp how things would go together and how they worked. When He was about 16 years old his best friend was given a dirt bike. They were so excited until we saw it. All it had was a frame with wheels and all the other pieces were in boxes. It took a year or more but we had it running and she rode that bike for years. Then Tim got my first car. This is where Tim’s skills had expanded and improved. By himself Tim could take the motor out replace the clutch and put the car back together in about 4-5 hours. He did love that car. After high school Tim struggled for a year or so to find a place that would apprentice him as a mechanic. But as luck would have it he found a job and an apprenticeship. The guys Tim worked with were great. They shared and showed him all their knowledge. Eventually Tim was placed under an electrical mechanic. With his Journey-mans knowledge and guidance he learned so much. Later, in years, Tim left and went to work with a dealership. He has been there almost 15 years as their top electrical technician. Tim’s wife likes to say Tim can read a wiring diagram like a toddler to a coloring book. Easy!

Tim’s main passion in life is snowmobiling. He enjoys going to the mountains or riding locally to hit that fresh powder. Over the years Tim has acquired quads, snowmobiles, boats and a side by side for his family to enjoy. Tim has fixed and repaired them all. Tim’s friends and neighbors have him look at their equipment too. Tim is wanting a change from cars and trucks to off road vehicles. Tim is proud to be a fully licensed Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Mechanic/Technician for almost 25 years now. One thing everyone says about Tim’s work is that; He does it right and with great pride.
