Excellent access to the site is provided by Highways No. 37 and Crowsnest Road. In addition, it is serviced daily by Lakeland & Waterways branch line and an adjacent parallel access gravel road which runs diagonally (north/south) through the two quarter sections. The entire property is circumscribed by roadways.

The penny pinching between the office and mechanics is short-sighted and ends up parking equipment constantly.
Half of the operators are professional, competant, seasoned veterans. The other half are drinking buddies hired by the FORMER project manager, Shon.
The threat of company shutdown looms constantly from poor hiring practices by ethanol-loving Shon Frost. Expect incessant threatening emails and constant incidents from the half of the company that can't stop crashing equipment and destroying CN property.
Expect to recieve equipment in abysmal shape and to be blamed for taking the initiative to repair or report problems to the office.
Hard work and being independent seems to go unnoticed by OnTrack as nepotism trumps performance. Make sure you call the office every time you have a leak on your truck. It makes them feel needed and ensures job security.
Overall, the company has good potential if you can steer clear of the bobbleheads in the office.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great company to work for. Friendly staff, operators and supervisors. Started here as a HD mechanic many years ago. Won't get bored working here. All kinds of unique equipment from locomotives to pickup trucks and in between, definitely keeps the mind busy and learning. Safety is taken very seriously here. Heated shop floors in the winter and an exhaust system make for a comfortable work environment as a mechanic. Highly recommend working at On-Track.
