Lakes are all still frozen and all I can do is stare at the 1875 Impact but the experience for purchasing, walk through and getting it home has been exceptional! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchase a 2006 Glastron and only having for 2 months the dash around the gauges and glove box cracked. Because of the age the warranty they offered us does not cover this issue. It’s sad they wont even help share the cost to get it fixed. I thought dealing with a dealer would be less risk but i guess not.

He had my best interest at heart throughout the process. He could have sold me a more expensive boat but instead sold me the one that is exactly right for my needs. His service after the point of sale continued to be exceptional. He accommodated our needs in picking up the boat and getting it to Calgary. John McLevin of Barry Jay's was the most responsive and helpful of anyone we contacted in Alberta. In addition to prompt replies, he answered non-stop questions - and we had a lot. When we narrowed down our search, John and Barry Jay's were on the list.
Not only was he great to deal with remotely, but also in person. This guy goes out of his way to earn your business with the best customer service I've seen in a long time. I thought the other reviews on here seemed too kind, but I was wrong. They're legit. Great guy!
We also dealt with Ken Wong on the paperwork. Ken was helpful. In fact, Ken was able to get us better insurance than we were able to get on our own. I was skeptical at first, but after verifying, super impressed.
So, we bought a boat. We bought it from John. It came down to a few product choices here and elsewhere, but ultimately we felt that we'd receive the best service here based on how we've been treated so far. Recommend Barry Jay's? Yup. They aren't slimy like others we talked to. Super helpful. I hope their service department is just as helpful should we ever need it.
