I just want to thank Colin and all the wonderful stylists at Studio Five. When you reached out last week to reschedule my appointment, I was so relieved that you acted so responsibility to keep all of us safe and be part of flattening the curve!!! Add the that the awesome hair I was sporting when Monica sent me out the door after our reschedule!!! You guys rock!!

I've been seeing Melissa at Studio Five for all my hair needs for about 2 years now. She listens well and always gives me exactly the style I'm looking for. Always pleasant to chat to. With COVID, the folks at Studio Five are taking precautions seriously,only having 2 clients in the shop at a time,which I appreciate.

RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM SALON: Thank you for your response. The information that you have provided, however does not line up with my experience in your salon. As I previously indicated, I was offered an opportunity to rebook and explained that I was okay with any stylist on any date as long as the appointment was for 6pm or later. I had my entire evening cleared today to have my hair cut so would have gladly come back 45 minutes later for a rebooked appointment. The appointment I was offered, however, was closer to 45 days from my appointment time than 45 minutes. While I have noticed since reading your response that my last name is not linked to my booking account as it was set up through my gmail login, my phone number and email address were both provided so you could have contacted me if that information was required instead of assuming I wouldn’t show up. Based on the fact that you’ve quoted my Instagram bio in your response, I can assume that you had no problem getting my first and last name from the info that was provided to you in my appointment booking. In terms of a cancellation email, I’ve checked and re-checked my inbox and my junk folder and can assure you that I did not get an email aside from the email saying my appointment had been approved. If I had, I would not have wasted my time showing up at your salon today. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve been trying to fit a hair appointment into my schedule and was very excited to see that when I checked this salon’s availability yesterday, there were some openings with Kayli for this evening. I booked an appointment for 6pm and received my appointment confirmation via email and text message. I arrived at the salon today at 5:55, after spending my whole day looking forward to my haircut, only to find out that the appointment had been double-booked. When the girl who greeted me brought up the issue to the manager, she was redirected to speak with Kayli. Kayli had already started the other appointment (a colour correct) and when the girl I had been speaking with returned, I was told that I should have received a second email or text notifying me that my appointment was denied. I was offered to rebook but was told the earliest appointment was around one month out. Either the staff don’t know how to use the booking system or, more likely, the stylist had the opportunity to book someone in for a higher priced service and forgot to cancel the appointment I had booked. Either way, given the fact that it was booked the day before, I should have at least been called to notify me that the appointment wouldn’t be going ahead. From a customer service perspective, I think that the situation at the salon this evening should have been dealt with by the manager or the stylist, who were both made aware of the double-booking. I don’t appreciate having my time wasted and will not be attempting to book with this salon again.

I decided to get a blunt bob cut from Kristen. I have never had short hair so this was a huge deal for me. She made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in. She did an AMAZING job with my hair. I absolutely LOVED my cut. I've already scheduled my next appt with her in 4 months time. This time going to her for partial balayage and a cut. HIGHLY recommend her!

First time visiting the salon and could not have sat in a better chair than Melissa's. She is a pro and her attention to detail is so appreciated. Melissa is a great stylist/colourist and is a pleasure to spend time with!

Thankful I found this place and Melissa! I have very damaged blonde hair, from some Covid nightmare stylists I tried, she was honest and so careful with my hair. Gave me the beautiful blonde I want, without the damage along with a beautiful blow out!

I went to Studio Five for the first time yesterday and got the BEST haircut I’ve had in years. David was awesome and gave me exactly what I wanted (in less than an hour might I add) and I left feeling amazing about my hair. Highly recommend!
