At first the service was great, honest and helped us out a lot. He changed my wheel bearing and ball joint control arms. He promptly took it back in when that wheel bearing blew out after 2 weeks. Then 2 weeks later the wheel bearing blew out again. I took it back in for a third time and was told that the brand new wheel bearing didn't come with an ABS. Okay fine. This is where I should have left it. I brought the car back once the ABS part came in. I told him I would be back in the next day after work to give him time to work on it. Instead it was rushed "so that we could have the car back that night". I took it off the lot and was immediately concerned. My wheel bearing sounded worse than when I brought it back in. I received a message saying "can't guarantee the wheel bearing is good because it's a used part". I sent him a message and said if I had of known that there was going to be a used part going into my car I would have said no. He informed me that the wheel bearing would no longer be under warranty. He knew I was selling the car. I was then told if I wanted to have a new wheel bearing put in, I would be paying for it and that he canceled his plans so that we could have it back. Fast forward a week later, after having my father in law take it to another mechanic to have this issue fixed. We were told my mother in law was lucky that she made it back to her home - 2 hours away- without an issue. The control arm didn't have a pin in it. All the "new" parts that were put into the car were busted and we were lucky that the entire wheel didn't fly off. I have some basic knowledge on how cars work. Not a mechanic. I appreciate that Cody was helpful when he was. However, I will definitely not be taking any car back to him.
