★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stratford is a little jem of a Park. It has Sunnybrook Hospital just across Bayview Avenue to the eastern perimeter of the grounds. Blythwood and a few well appointed homes runs along the south. There is a cul de sac that loops down into the western edge and the northern bordered with family homes. It is clear that it is used and appreciated by a variety of people from over at the hospital to neighborhood folks riding their bicycles or walking home from work. Kids playing ball people walking their dogs. The trees are full of birds singing to their hearts content. I have visited here a few times after appointments at Sunnybrook Hospital and even though this is a busy area the huge trees in and around the park really buffer the sound. It lovely picnic tables and park benches too. There is a water fountain and even though I have never been here at night there is a light standard that is located at the midway point near the water fountain.
This is a lovely park to just sit and meditate after an appointment, have lunch, visit with a friend who might be at the Hospital or to walk your dog. Enjoy.
