★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a reasonably large size grocery store. I did find some prices were more expensive than places like Safeway. You can easily get around the store. There is a large floral department and a department for prepared foods for immediate consumption. There is parking underground.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a marked-down chicken teriyaki wrap at stong’s Dunbar today and it was so terrible and old :( I didn’t realize until after I got it that it was prepared 5 days ago (apr 7) and marked best before today (apr 12). Inside the rice was all hard and the fillings wet and completely unappetizing. This is not a type of food that should be sold 5 days after its made. Very low quality food. A disappointing experience for a premium grocery store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Dunbar grocery store has been our primary source of quality merchandise since 1977 when we moved into the Dunbar area..Stongs is a name for quality groceries and other items that the community finds useful..We remember the yearly plant sale held in the previous store location parking lot.. it seemed like half of Vancouver held that date in mind for plants and for joining in the community spirit of shopping together... another vital service for customers is their online shopping and delivery service...One thing that the customers can always count on is quality service by the staff and very fresh meat,fish,produce and bread products... Stongs is truly a community grocery store

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While the main reason I frequent here is due to convenience, I admit they do actually have a nice store set up and my overall shopping experience for the past 5 years has been good! To be honest most things here are a tad more expensive than other grocery stores close by, however I can always find what I need and I enjoy discovering some of their more unique or gourmet selections. I love that they always carry a few different kinds of Chinese veggies, have a nice variety of freshly baked breads, and their cafe is also quite decent too. One down side is I find the produce area too tight. It is especially noticeable during rush hours when you see people trying to squeeze by each other or the restocking staff. Otherwise, you do get friendly service here, even the younger staff are smiley and efficient! Free underground parking is a plus too.

The popcorn is amazing , cute little coffee shop inside .
Definitely a pricey store .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourites Great meats and fish nice deli section Unfortunately the cashiers have decided to turn check out into an episodic session of chit chat yak yak.Zero acknowledgment. I know places can’t get staff, I have no patience for being the invisible customer especially when I’m paying these people to have jobs.Yup that’s right no customer no job no paycheck. Acknowledgement is the most important aspect of customer service,perhaps the abysmal management could teach that to their staff,so they could get the stars they deserve,If they have msnagers.Disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the grocery store. Six stars. However the coffee shop is so poor that it lowers it to a three. It’s not the atmosphere or even the coffee or equipment. The people working there do not know how to pull an espresso. This was not a one off experience. I have tried three times since they rebranded (I assume it’s a franchisee with grocery store employees). Really poor. Don’t get coffee here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to come here all the time when I was younger at the old location. The new location is smaller but they sure pack a lot in there. Their prepared food is great and has a ton of options. I do a fair amount of my grocery shopping here. Support Local!
