Hands down the best place in the area for local and organic produce and natural prepared food selections. The educational products for health and nutrition and special diets are also worth the visit. Brenda and Candace have created a welcoming environment where the customer feels cared for and make you want to come back.

I was really excited to support this business, until I seen their "NO Mask Exemption" sign. I have a medical Exemption and do not wear a mask. This is against the "bi-law" and discriminatory to human rights. I won't support business's that don't support or actually follow the charter of rights. You guys lost out on a substantial order today and I will not become a customer of yours.

I am an avid salad enthusiast, let's state that really quick. This store carries the best produce I have ever seen... It truly shows how much they care about their customers. They carry everything you need to live a healthy lifestyle. From shampoo to hemp socks. They have what every large supermarket would carry and more. Though I'm not sure why you would stock dead animals. Not happy about that. Overall, I'm happy to have you in Guelph. Cheers!

Stone Store has been my go to for essential oils, nice specialty teas, and all manner of hard-to-find, organic, or niche ingredients since I was in highschool through the 2000s. Such kind owners showed our youth theatre productions much-welcomed support too, so you'll always have a special place in my heart <3

My Mom and I had a pretty unpleasant experience at this store today. One of the staff members was really friendly and chatty, but two of the others were very unfriendly and even condescending. One of them (long, dark, curly hair) approached to ask if we needed any help and as I was replying no thanks, we’re good - and explaining that it was our first visit to the store, they turned and walked away while I was mid-sentence. When I was perusing the bread/baked goods area near the front cash, the same staff member asked if I needed help and when I asked for clarification about whether something in the bread section was a muffin or cookie or bread (to clarify, it was in the bread section but the bag was really small) - I didn’t want to open the bag to check because, you know, Covid - she/they said it was a cookie and condescendingly added “it says so right there,” pointing to the label…which just said “oat/fruit/nut”. Why would I ask what it was if the bag was labeled clearly? Maybe don’t approach people if you’re just going to be rude? When we were cashing out, the customers in front of us left their chocolate bars by accident and had just left the store, which we noticed and informed the cashier of. She just replied “oh…yeah” and made no effort to call the lady back or ask another staff member to grab her, even though she had JUST left the store seconds before, and another staff member was hovering near the front door. I offered to let the lady know and went to hand her the chocolate bars she’d left behind. Like ??? Isn't that the staff's job? The whole interaction was so bizarre. As we were leaving the store, I was passing through the door and the same dark curly haired staff member tried to push past me into the store WHILE I was already mid-way out the door. I literally had to say “watch it”. Who conducts themselves like that in general, but especially at work? We also felt like we were being watched throughout the store or like we were doing something wrong. It was really odd. The prices are okay on some items and super marked up on others. I’ve only ever spoken to staff over the phone to ask about items in the past and had noticed how unenthusiastic and condescending they were - as if they’re doing you a huge favour by answering simple questions (which were asked politely). I’ve worked in customer service for many, many years and have never conducted myself in such a condescending manner, especially when the customer is polite or friendly. Overall, there is an unpleasant vibe in this store and the staff members are truly weird (and not in a fun way), unprofessional, and off-putting. No incentive to return here in the future.

The store itself is super cute and offers some unique selections but the customer service and energy in the store by staff is just terrible. I went in a couple of days ago knowing they didn’t have everything I needed but went because I want to support local. Especially during these difficult times. There were many staff on the floor and it was myself and one other person for the most part. I wasn’t greeted with a hello. When I asked a simple question I felt like I was an inconvenience to the staff member. No one asked if I needed help. When I checked out and asked a question about a product the women simply said “ I don’t know.” in an annoyed manner. As I was packing my own bag she basically turned her back to me at the cash. I spend near 200 dollars, no thank you or anything. You expect a friendly customer service when you go to a cute local store like this. You will not find it here. No one will want to help you or be interested in your business. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience here but I never wrote till now. I won’t be revisiting as it’s an unpleasant low energy unhappy environment and it’s small so you can’t get away from it

Found what I was looking for—Birch Bark Coffee! [Parking] There is free parking in the shared lot out front. The store is easy to find. [Accessibility] The front entrance is barrier free for wheelchairs with an automatic door and ramp inside. [Atmosphere] The shop has beautiful limestone walls and wood floors, which gives it a really unique vibe. [Service] I found the customer service to be acceptable, sufficient and friendly enough. [Products] They carry very good brands and a good variety of products. They even have their own products and services. [Pricing] Their prices seem quite reasonable for a natural foods store.
