Derek has been involved in the construction industry for 14 years. Home Inspecting has always been a passion that he has wanted to share. He loves meeting new people, especially during an exciting moment like purchasing a new home.
Behind the scenes Derek can be found hiking the trails with his family, Samantha, Pearce, Payton and their dog Indy. With a strong outdoor passion they find a new adventure everyday.

He walked us through everything in the house and took time to explain any aspects we had questions about or wanted more detail on. The summary report he provided was well laid out and detailed. We tried and we tried but were unable to find an inspector that was able to book us in during our time frame for inspection. We had all but giving up. But then we found derek at stonescript. He went out of his way and was able to come through on extemely short notice and at a great value. Which we cannot thank him enough for. Derek was willing to video call me and do a complete walk through of everything he found, pointing out the major issues and the minor ones as well. The final report is very thorough and provides detailed information on everything found. Well worth the cost, I recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection done.

Derek walked us through his entire inspection and was able to identify a few areas for us to discuss with our builder and was also able to give us maintenance tips and tricks to keep our new home looking and functioning great!
