Meet the Family

My new job began on October 1, 2003 when we began to dismantle what had been a jewelry store on Blairmore's main street and turn it into a cafe. 35 days later, after hammering, drywalling, laying a new floor and countless other fun tasks, Stone's Throw Cafe opened. After 3 years and an expired lease, we moved to a new location in the same block with room to grow, and found ourselves renovating again, all while I was 7 months pregnant! Purchasing the building was the best decision I have made, and we have found that Crowsnest Pass has been a great place to do business. That was 2006, and we are still going strong today. In the early days we knew we'd come to a great place, and we still feel the love. The people here are friendly and supportive and have watched with us while our business and family grows. Regular customers have become good friends.

We work hard and try to contribute to the community we love whenever possible. We are always happy to give directions to bike trails or recommend a great place to stay, so don't be shy about stopping in! We love to be ambassadors to our amazing mountain home.

I love the atmosphere of the place and it’s way of thinking about environment and the friendliness of the staff and it’s customers. Crowsnest Pass is almost on the other side of the world for me but I will back and just have to recommend Stone’s Throw Cafe to everybody.
T	T G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quaint cafe located in the heart of Blairmore. Stone’s Throw Cafe serves all day breakfast and they have daily soup and sandwich specials. They have hand sanitizer at every table and sanitize table regularly. This is a great place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat!

There are lots of spaces to sit (when they open for dine in again). Everything has an artsy feel and they sell/showcase local artist works. Their grilled cheese...made fresh and stringy, was a delicious comfort food to get. If they can get the basics of a grilled cheese down, im sure their other offerings would be reflected the same way. Meals are $6-8 and drinks are $2-5 (reasonable pricing).

All of the treats are baked fresh on the premises, no "from frozen" here, unless maybe you want a smoothie. Recommended stop whether you're coming to visit or on your way through.
