About Sierra West Cabins & Ranch
Your hosts of Sierra West Cabins & Ranch Vacations are Randy & Ginny Donahue. Both have been born in southwestern Alberta and raised with the ranching way of life.
Nestled at the base of the majestic Canadian Rockies in southwestern Alberta is a working cattle ranch called Sierra West. The ranch is a cow/calf operation with some yearlings that are trailed to the near-by Bow Crow Forest reserve, while others are on locally leased land for the summer months. Sierra West Cabins & Ranch Vacations have three log cabins set on the banks of Todd Creek and have now built a small town. “Cowtown” complete with the Longhorn Saloon (meeting house), a Cantina (commercial kitchen) and 3 Bunkhouses (Gambler, Maverick & Vaquero) have been added to accommodate more guests and larger groups.
It is here where the prairies rise up to meet the rolling foothills and continue on to the pristine mountains. It is also the place where you may find cowboys on cattle drives and round-ups, branding, rodeoing or going for a leisurely horseback ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing place !! We spent two wonderful days at Randy and Ginny's ranch. Cabin was fully equipped and very cosy. You feel like home. Despite our fears, horse ridding was a very great experience. Randy and Ginny are very welcoming and their staff very friendly. Don't hesitate, book for few days :)

It was a few yrs back that my husband Clayton and I went on a weekend cattle drive.
TOO much fun!!
My horses name was 69 - well behaved, but had alot of spirit … luved that he liked to work the cattle ?
I won the cowboy’s poetry contest they held -
my prize was long-horn steaks (yummy), naturally my poem was about the awesome horse they provided and the good times we had ?
