Very friendly, helpful staff I deal mostly with the post office staff as I have a Flex Delivery mailbox. They take the time to get to know their customers and are always cheerful, efficient and helpful. They are willing to put in extra effort in order to provide excellent customer service. The other staff in the pharmacy are also very helpful and cheerful but I don't actually buy much there other than the impulse items that they have in the aisle where you line up for the post office:)

I had such a bad experience at the post office at IDA today. Lady was rude. I was mailing an important letter over seas and they didn't have the stamps and said they would make them up.!!!!! She took the letter of me she said she would do it later. I really wanted to see the letter go into the mail with the stamp on it. See said no she would do it later. I asked if I could have the 25 dollars back and I would go somewhere else. They don't refund stamps.!!!I can only hope it gets there.

This is not a professional pharmacy at all. I dropped off a prescription 2 weeks ago and no one called when there was a delay in filling it. I called today to find out that it was being held on a clarification. No one from the pharmacy contacted me to tell me. After speaking with the pharmacist, I clarified the order and was told it would be ready in an hour. 4 hours later and I am still waiting. I realize that a compounding pharmacy needs more time to prepare items, but that is no excuse for very poor customer service.

Generally only go here just for Post Office. Normally, no issue and usually great service, except this last time, I brought some very big and heavy packages about 8 mins before close, put on counter and went in line. Got to the counter, she says "sorry closed" It was a min past close, and I looked back and there were 3 other people behind me, and they were not very pleased either. She says she can't scan my packages and give me receipts. She says either take them and come back tomorrow or leave and we will scan tomorrow. Well, two issues: one, I need the scan receipts because it is my only insurance if package goes missing so I am not out of pocket (I have been the victim of technology failures in the past). Two, I limit my visits to public spaces during the pandemic because I have a high-risk individual in my household. So, I accumulate any shipments or returns and try to minimize my visits and do as many at once as possible. So, asking me to come back a 2nd time in 2 days was a non-starter as it puts the health of my family at risk. Also, I know they can keep it open past their close time because on another occasion when I screwed up a label, one of the more regular post workers actually offered to re open her till after their 5:30 pm close if I could go home and come back with new label before 6 pm. In this case, no consideration for the fact that I arrived before close and waited in line for 9 mins just to be served. Not very professional. Don't know whether she just wanted to finish and get out of there, or she just did not know. But, put blame squarely on the Manager for not having better policies, and perhaps better training, not a student working a PT job that is likely doing what she is told. SUGGESTION, have a floor sign that is put out behind the last person that will be served that says "CLOSED", as they do in grocery stores when a cash is going to close after serving the current customer. And policy should be that people in line before the closing time should be served. Period. Adjust your closing procedures to allow buffer to accommodate customers that took the time to drive to the location to get served.

I had a really bad experience at this pharmacy. They would always forget or just not call me when my compounded prescription was ready. This went on for a solid year or more. The last time I was there I ended up missing 2 weeks nearly of my prescription because (despite giving them ample notice for a refill) they never phoned me when it was ready. I ended up regressing and when I went to speak to them to pick it up and express my frustration (apparently the meds were sitting there for nearly 2 weeks) I was yelled at by the pharmacist. He humiliated me, I couldn't believe how rude he was. I won't even go into details about the nasty things he said. When I asked to speak to the owner it turns out that was him. I was floored. Apparently empathy towards patients is not something this pharmacy practices.

Beware of the Compounding fee on top of the Prescription fee of $11.99. I had to pay $8 compounding fee plus a Prescription fee of $11.99. Previously, there was no compounding fee but they started charging $8 compounding fee as per the Pharmacist this year. The Dr had faxed the prescription and I had called to update my insurance details and was not advised about the compounding fee. When I asked, the reply was Sorry. Their website also does not mention that an extra fee applies for compounding. There should be a law to disclose all fees on the website specially during the Pandemic as the Doctors usually fax the prescriptions. If I had known that, then I would have gone to Costco and had them fill up the prescription which was a simple ointment mixture of Nifedipine powder in Xylocaine base. When checked with Costco, they do that compounding ointment in a small tub instead of a tube and charge is only $4.49. What a rip off!!!

So we just moved to the Stittsville area in July of last year and this IDA is my go to for the post office. The manager Patty has got to be one of the kindest humans I have ever met and the other staff is always super helpful and accommodating. I’ve had to send so many parcels over this past year and they’re always helping me to get the most affordable option! I seriously love the staff there and you can always find the neatest little thighs in the store part. They all know me now as a regular and make you feel welcome.

I cant forget the day I walked in with an extremely sore back, and a wonderful lady who was working that day helped me find the right product to relieve the pain and she sprayed it on my upper back for me since I couldnt move my shoulders. She was extremely kind, and really helpful and nice. The employees in general are nice. Products are great and it is nice that it has Canada Post in it.
