Great for free camping, right next to the highway so a little noisy. The local Host was very accommodating and there to help in any way. You can also rent his Canoes for a small donation and float down the river.

Good for a place to park overnight! Constant flow of gravel trucks hauling loads every 15 minutes! Noise so bad had to go in the trailer to reduce the loudness!

Free campground even in July! It is pretty and small with giant cottonwood trees. Not very frequented, there was still lots of room when we went in a busy weekend. No access to the river sadly it is fenced

Stayed there on July 9th,2021. This FREE campground is good. Tables and fire pits are new, there is a lotvof trees and shade, there are pit/vault toilets, and it is fenced. Also, the campground is close to Dinosaur Provincial Park. On the downside, just BE CAREFUL if you have kids or dogs, there are snakes(Garter snakes, black with yellow stripes), they are not venomous but keep a safe distance from them.

We stayed here one night before heading to the Dinosaur Provincial Park. Awesome that it's free! It was lovely and cool under all the cottonwood trees and pretty quiet. It was fairly well maintained but very limited amenities. There were only pit toilets, picnic tables and fire rings. We had no problems getting our 36ft Class A in and finding a spot. We didn't get down to the river but our neighbour said he went every day and it was nice.

It's a free campground 20 minutes away from dinosaur provincial park along the Red Deer River. We spent a weekend there in May and had a great time! The only facilities are a few outhouses, a large cookhouse shelter, and an area to drop off your garbage. Each site has a fire pit and picnic tables (there's probably 10 sites that can easily accommodate two trailers each). Lots of privacy as you're in the bush, and a short walk to the river for fishing or swimming.

This is an excellent free (for the time being) campsite about 25 minutes from Dinosaur Provincial Park. We car camped during a warm weekend in February and were pleasantly surprised by how well equipped this free campsite was. A full picnic shelter with table and wood burning stove was great for making meals and the men’s and women’s outhouses were surprisingly clean. Even if this campsite becomes paid this summer, I’d stay here again.

A nice little free campsite, the sites are spaced well but the whole campground is quite small. If there are any rowdy folks you will definitely hear them. Not a lot to explore around the area but perfect for a night's sleep on a road trip.
