Ocean's teaching style is as every bit comprehensive, multi-faceted, and in-your-face as is the art of Jeet Kune Do, itself. Sifu Ocean will open your eyes wide; Dangerous is the Fighter that Embraces Emptiness!

It's also easier to remember people's names and feel comfortable in the group. The teachers don't beat students up like in the old Kung-fu movies and the students don't have to scrap like dogs. Don't be fooled either- this is some Jason Bourne type stuff and Sifu Steele has connections around the world.

I highly suggest you take the time to drop in watch a class or even join in. Sifu Steele has a lot to offer, you will find that out very quickly, he can go from JKD to Boxing then to joint locks and on to trap boxing, the list goes on.

He teaches practical and efficient self-defence techniques that are designed to work in real-world situations. He spends the necessary time with each of his students to ensure everyone gets a personalized experience tailored to their strengths while working on improving their weaknesses, just like Bruce Lee did with his own students in Jeet Kune Do. Sifu Steele emphasizes that real fights are alive and his drills reflect this philosophy.

What I learn challenges me enough to where I am learning but not overwhelmed. Steele is interested in students goals and often tailors classes accordingly. One thing that becomes obvious right away when meeting Steele is how passionate he is about what he teaches. My opinion is that under Steele’s instruction students can expect to gain confidence in their ability to protect oneself/loved ones when necessary, gain confidence in general, have fun, feel challenged, and learns whole lot about the martial way.
