Stationnement SPAQ

Ils n'admettent plus personne autre que les abonnés mensuels pendant les opérations déneigement.

Le stationnement n’est pas très bien entretenu, les espaces sont exigus. Stationnement sur deux niveaux. Possibilité d’y entreposer son véhicule pour l’hiver. Aucun agent sur place, ils sont joignables par intercom. Abonnement ou carte de crédit acceptés.

Mauvais entretien (un parking en ruine) : des fuites d'eau, un mauvais écoulement de l'eau (il y a souvent des lacs l'hiver...), un méga trou sur le sol qui a pris des mois avant d'être réparé, un lecteur de cartes défectueux, des voitures qui restent là sur le flat pendant presque un an et qui prennent donc des espaces de stationnement pour rien. Le stationnement est aussi mal configuré, il y a beaucoup d'espaces très étroits.

It’s a parking garage without any bells or whistles, just like many others. I visited in the fall so I cannot comment on winter maintenance of this location but I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary early in the fall. Before settling on this Spaq, we had tried many of Old Quebec’s Indigo parking locations shortly after 8 pm the night we arrived and they were all seemingly closed and there were no parking attendants anywhere to seen. The Indigo machines we tried were limited to issuing overnight parking tickets that were only valid until 6am (and in one case 3am, because 6 am isn’t inconvenient enough when you are trying to enjoy yourself and hoping to sleep in). The only issues we had at this SPAQ were: 1- the credit card reader at the entrance was not working (we tried a couple different cards but the reader didn’t respond at all). I simply walked up to the pedestrian entrance (right next to the car entrance), pressed the help button, explained the situation and the remote attendant promptly opened the garage door for us. We were then able to pay at the machine inside for parking up to mid afternoon the next day, which was great so we could take our time in the morning. 2- the location on google maps is misleading and makes it look like you should be able to enter through the ministry of agriculture building but there is a small sign indicating that the entrance is behind the building so the actual address should be 247, Rue des Franciscains, Ville de Québec, QC G1R 1H9. Thankfully both of us are pretty proficient in French so we were able to figure that out quickly. I sent a correction request to google maps and hope it will get revised soon. If not for the faulty credit card machine I would have given it 4 stars but it has clearly been an issue for a while now therefore I am docking a star. Hopefully they will repair it soon and maybe even add English language signage for the non-French speaking users.
