About your STARS Truck Team

In 2007, John & Barb Giesbrecht opened STARS Truck & Auto Repair Service Ltd (it was then known as JG Truck Service), Servicing & Repairing all makes & models of truck & trailer equipment in a 4000 square ft shop located 4 miles west of Altona, MB.

In 2011, the business was moved to Winkler, MB., into a 3600 square foot shop with 5 service bays and the name was changed to STARS Truck & Auto Repair Services Ltd.

In 2015 STARS entered a partnership agreement with Beaver Trucks to become a fully authorized Volvo Truck Service Provider in order to offer customers with a full line of Volvo parts & warranty services. At this time more room was needed to meet the needs of our customers so an additional 2400 square feet two story space was constructed to house office/parts/truckers lounge & show room as well as one new drive through service bay to accommodate a tractor super B trailer combination.

Our current location offers a large parking lot with plenty of truck & trailer parking.

STARS also offers our customers local pick and drop off of customers and trucks.

All we got was lies and excuses. " we didnt touch those lines" yet they were properly tie up on the original engine" " that was a year ago" job was done May 20015 " If you dontlike our work dont bring our truck here" The mental Midget actually thinks we would come back after they faile miserably to do a proper job installing an engine costing us a transmission and then not stepping up. YOU CANT SERVE 2 MASTERS

Dropped the vehicle off in the morning after calling ahead, and was called shortly after with an estimate including a few other suggested repairs (torn turbo hose and a motor mount with a bushing that was falling apart). By end of day, everything was back in place and we had picked our car up. Invoice was super detailed and outlined all work clearly. We probably would've ended up at the side of the road in North Dakota or Montana without Stars. Great service and an incredibly fast turn around (might've just been good timing, but we were happy either way). Would absolutely recommend this shop based on my experience.

John says it sounds like injector problems. He said if I get the truck there they would have time on Monday to look at it. I dropped it off friday morning. To have tell me I needed two injectors and a cam sensor and there where a few other little things. That I should change that they found when they looked over my truck.i said go for it . Monday calls me and says my trucks ready to go I was more than happy with the work they did. Now today I called them this morning telling john what my truck was doing .he said bring it we'll plug in and see what's its problem. But said wouldn't have time to fix I said that's fine. Well it was a faulty cam sensor that they replaced. Back in January 30 mins later they had it changed and I was rolling again.
