Gordie is an amazingly knowledgable and calm instructor with a real sense of fun. He has every confidence that you can preform all the tasks required and makes everyone feel at ease. Even when, as a reluctant sailor, you think you can’t, he has no doubt that you can and give you the confidence to just do it. Thank you Gordie Fulcher for an adventure I will never forget.

He's very trusting too; he let me skipper and dock the boat. Starlight Sailing 4hr tour is the way to go for learning the basics and getting a feel for sailing if you're inexperienced! Before going on Starlight, I had little to no experience on a boat and my first language is French so I wasn’t sure how this would turn out, but I decided to jump in anyways! Gord understands French and is very good at communicating so it helped me a lot! He is a great teacher and very fun to be around. His confidence and knowledge made me feel secure all along and you can tell he is passionate! He will gladly answer to all of your questions and is willing to show you more! We even had a crab meal that he caught with his crab trap :) The landscapes were amazing and the wildlife we saw was incredible, memories that will last a life time! Thank you Gord you are truly the best xxx
K	Kathy Tarrabain on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently took a 5 day sailing class with 5 other individuals through the Gulf Islands, BC, with instructor and skipper Gordie Fulcher, of Starlight Sailing Adventures. I had no prior knowledge or experience sailing. I highly recommend this class and Gordie to all. He is a very knowledgeable, calm and cool instructor. By the end of our class he had us all sailing a 45 ft boat. It must also be said we all had an absolute blast. Already planning to be in Gordie’s company again next year. It was truly an amazing experience and it was all because Gordie Fulcher was an outstanding instructor and person to learn from. I highly recommend this experience to all.

Dallas was professional with a fun approach to teach us how to sail. My husband and I learned a lot and are now planning our next trip back to Sooke. Hopefully taking our very basic sailing to the next level. Thank you Dallas. Oh and yes we had so much fun.
R	Richard Rougeau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I did a 5 day cruise and learn with Gordie a couple of weeks ago. We had an incredible experience! Not only is Gordie super patient, kind, and funny, he also took us on an adventure sailing around to various spectacularly beautiful, remote, and quiet anchorages. Gordie took every precaution necessary to ensure we felt safe during Co-Vid. The beds were comfy, we had a ton of delicious food, and everything we needed to be comfy for the trip. We felt super comfortable on his boat and Gordie's calm nature is a pleasure to be around. I went into the experience a little nervous as there was quite a bit of sailing terminology to remember in order to get our day skippers license (and to pass the test at the end) but he made learning fun and we had a lot of opportunity to practice our skills throughout the 5 day adventure. We lucked out with the most incredible weather and honestly it was one of the most beautiful travelling experiences I've had to date. If you are thinking you would like to learn to sail or if you just want to go out an explore this beautiful area, I highly recommend spending some time on Starlight Sailing Adventures. Gordie is a gem!
