Once upon a time, there were four guys (Sparky, Smudge, Jinx and Frankie) who discovered that they shared a love for music and then got together to become their idols – The Four Freshman, The Hi-Lo’s and The Crew Cuts. Rehearsing in the basement of Smudge’s family’s plumbing supply company, they became “Forever Plaid”. On the way to their first big gig, the “Plaids” are broadsided and killed instantly.
It is at this moment when their careers and lives end that the story of Forever Plaid begins….
Singing in close harmony, squabbling boyishly over the smallest intonations, and executing their charmingly outlandish choreography with overzealous precision, the “Plaids” are a guaranteed smash, with an array of beloved songs and delightful patter that will keep you rolling in the aisles when you’re not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The tables were spaced nicely for Covid. Masks are required when you leave your table. Hand sanitizer was readily available because of all the touch points in serving buffet. Of course the food was fantastic as always. The Motown show was great. Our waitress was attentive to our needs!
Overall a wonderful evening!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meal was amazing!! Staff, servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Play was woohoo. Only negative part was a family with teens sat in front of us and they were teenagers, they didn't watch the show and were being unruly during the play :( so I was slightly distracted by them. But, loved Stage West, the play and the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious and the show I saw was a very tasteful comedy set in 1938. Buffet style food with lots of variety including: seafood, BBQ, sushi, stuffed pork loin, and tons of dessert. The wild berry cake was amazing. Wish I could take some home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were visiting Calgary and came across Stage West by accident when I was trying to figure out what we could do in the evening. Overall, it was a great experience from the initial inquiry over the phone to the night of the show ("Priscilla Queen of the Desert"). The people at Stage West were super nice, the buffet selection was plentiful, assorted and delicious (I wish we could have sampled everything), and the show was great (fantastic performers). It was a very nice addition to the visit especially for my hubby who had never been to a dinner theatre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been attending Stage West for 25 years. It's a lovely evening out. The productions can be hit and miss on the musicals but the comedies are generally great fun!
There has been little variety in the food and it gets a little dull. The salads, sushi and seafood are always consistently good. The hot food is a different matter all together.... tonight's roast beef was pretty tough and most other dishes were unappealing.
We were really looking forward to this month's production of the Soul of Motown but we were told that there was no intermission because some of the cast were sick. We assume this was Covid related. The show was only 1 hour and 15 minutes and it wasn't very good. I had read excellent reviews at the start of the run, it's unfortunate that illness impacted the quality.
Still, we will continue to attend now and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The buffet had everything you could possibly want! Tons of selection and all of it delicious. The play was fantastic ("Screwball Comedy"), the sets looked great and the actors did an awesome job. We got there right at 6 but recommend going at 6:15 to let the seating rush pass. 90min would still be plenty to have a relaxed dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere. Great food. Great production. When I booked online, I didn't realize that the table I selected had another couple. When my husband and I got there the host realized that we likely did not book together and offered us a table to ourselves. My husband and I really appreciated that.
The only downside. Was that we waited a long time for our server to take our drink order and then had to wait even longer for our wine

You start out by enjoying a fabulous and delicious dinner buffet, and after being fully satisfied gastronomically, you get to be entertained visually and audibly by some beautiful musical performances! We were constantly raving about how good the food is during the dinner portion and was blown away by the theatre performance as well! Very friendly staff, excellent dinner service, classy dining; a truly lovely theatre restaurant! Recommended for a couple on a date or a family event dinner or to enjoy a beautiful dinner experience with friends! P.s. because no photos of the performances are sensibly allowed, I can only share the photo of what I had on my dinner plate that night. ?
