S	S Malik on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is great, one of my favourite places to eat indian food. The portions are good, have tried a few things on the menu like Mango lassi, garlic naan, veg naan, yellow daal, paneer dishes, dal makhni, aloo gobhi, raita, chai tea all of them taste great.

The initial person I spoke to had no idea how to process a gift certificate over the phone, so I called back a couple of hours later to speak to the manager. She then told me she was too busy to deal with what I needed and would have to call me back. I told them numerous times that I was calling from Mexico and they couldn''t call me back, but that didn't seem to matter. If the manager is too busy when she arrives then perhaps she might need to come in earlier, and she needs to consider that she is turning down income when she blows me off as being too busy to talk to me. "I don't have time for this" is not a managerial position.

It's been a year since I've been but last night we happened to be driving through so I ordered takeout. Very disappointing. The biryani was very dry, which it's suppose to be somewhat, but was unusually dry. In the entire dish there was 4 little cubes of beef. No exaggeration...when I order from Heritage in Nanaimo or even Manvirros it's loaded. The pakoras used to be really good here but this is the first time we've ever had 1 each and stopped. So incredibly dry and stuffed with way to much batter. Wifes butter chicken was good. Prices are still reasonable, but...I hope that was somehow an off night cause I can't recommend this place anymore if that's now the norm.

While the food was tasty, the flavour was sub-par compared to what I'm used to in Victoria and Brampton. Also it kills me when the staff of an Indian food restaurant call their naan "nan" (it's pronounced "nawn").
H	Harold Grindl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good food, very bad service. Arrived Sunday 5.30pm, only 4 tables occupied. After ordering, took almost 1 hour for the appies to arrive. Received drinks initially but were then ignored for water and drink refills for most of our stay. My wife ordered Chai, which was forgotten until we asked for the bill (40 minutes later) . Then they insisted we take it in a to-go cup rather than take it off the bill. By then it was so bitter it wasn't drinkable. Stick with takeout if you want an enjoyable experience!

They fired my favourite server who has worked there for 6+ years for contracting COVID-19 and needing time off, and they didn’t give her any explanation. She worked very hard in making Spice hut a great experience for all customers and was loyal to providing great service. They do not care about their staff; please reconsider supporting this business.

Very friendly service and good atmosphere. Tried yellow lentils and Palak paneer dish with Naan. Will definitely visit again.
