Steer clear of Spectrum. I would like to express my extreme disgust and disappointment in Spectrum's PSW services. We had a PSW, Emma, come in and out of our home for about a year. She would routinely show up late, leave early, and refused any additional requests that were within our rights (making conversation with my family member). She would often leave without saying goodbye, enter without saying hello, and declined our requests for conversation/emotional support during the time. On three separate occasions, she tried to convince my family member to give her more hours after LHIN provided us with more hours for care. We feel taken advantage of since she never stayed the full time. I will not stand for this kind of behavior that is likely happening in other homes, likely without any witnesses. We have a recorded conversation between a family member and Emma where she became aggressive to us. I have left a few voicemails about this feedback to her supervisor, Lillian, and it seems like no accountability or disciplinary measures have been taken to ensure that this doesn't happen to other families like ours. Incredibly disgusted by this experience, and we will be requesting a different agency to provide PSW services in the future, and sharing our experience with others so that other families steer clear of Spectrum.

Unreliable ...especially their psw's ..some do not even show up for their scheduled shifts or the company will call you just prior to the scheduled time saying they have nobody just hours before leaving you stranded.. When staff do show, they want to leave immediately and not even give you the full hour.....MOST IMPORTANT they dont come with proper PPE ..rather with homemade masks and no face shields or proper foot wear..We are trusting them with our elderly and they should be in proper PPE to protect our most vulnerable

I currently work for spectrum and have done for over 5 years , they are a terrible company with co Ordinator who do not care , they schedule you with no care or compassion, you raise concerns and they get swept aside , disgusting , we are supposed to care but they don’t and management do not care at all

The coordinator needs to be helpful and attentive when someone is requesting for assistance for week days and times. Please be polite and caring after all this is home health care for Seniors. Service is new for some families and these are families under a lot of stress. Could you please call and let the Seniors know who is coming as a replacement or not coming at all? Some times they don’t have an ID or uniform ? How do they know this person is coming from Spectrum? It is a security issue!

Worst experience, I’m new to this homecare service process . my first time ever. I had some questions but each time response was inefficient. I don’t recommend counting on there PSW The minute they enter your home it’s the same minute that they wanna leave!! Please don’t register your beloved ones with them!

Their home care nurses are generally very kind, however scheduling has always been a nightmare. I'm receiving treatment long term with a fixed 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule from the doctor. Most of the days I don't know when the nurse is coming and spend the day waiting, which I do understand the nurses are super busy, so some waiting on my end is understandable. However, sometimes they forget me completely off the schedule and I spend the whole day waiting and wondering if they forgot me. When my primary nurse is working, she never forgets me, but when she is off, the scheduler seems to forget me even though I've confirmed my treatment cycle numerous times. Yesterday my treatment cycle started again, I waited until afternoon and called. I was told I'm not on the schedule at all and then the scheduler asked if she can just schedule me the following day instead because it was close to her end of the day even though they still have nurses working both day and afternoon shifts. Who cares about my life extending treatment prescribed by a doctor if it makes it easier for the scheduler who forgot me in the first place, right? I did eventually receive treatment late in the evening after I insisted.

We have a regular PSW who takes care of my mom every morning and afternoon. Her name is Arcili and she is fantastic. My mom can’t wait for her to show up. She’s punctual, caring and passionate towards her work. Our evening visits are from another company who’s service is terrible. Half the time they claim they can never find anyone. I’m trying to get Spectrum to cover all 3 of my mom’s daily visits. Hopefully that will happen !
