Very large vehicle of the company was careening through the area around Venture Way NE at about 12:08 PM August 23, 2017. License plate began with FEW. Very reckless driving, and travelling far too quickly for that residential area.

Nothing else but horrible experience: I’m not trying to make it like they are in my hands and should beg me for doing business with them. Of course there are other people that have had good experiences and nothing will change their mind to agree with me. I was at the door by 11:58 on Saturday, it was locked and no people where to be seen inside.! At that time someone showed up at the gates and pulling to close, I waved at him and he made a sign as I should go in, I raised my hands in a sign of locked. Than I waited there till the clock was 12:01. Those 3 min felt longer than my half an hour driving to catch up in time. The woman and the man who work as sales came out dressed up ready to go home telling me it was closed. I felt arguing with them for the earlier closing but none would care to listen anything. They hoped in to their cars and took off before time changed 12:02. So how I’m suppose to rate my experience, put your self in to my shoes and then rate them up to five stars. Can you?

Just came from there, open on a Saturday. ? A pleasure to deal with one of the guys from the back who came out to help us finding some roof ridge product to match our the bp shingle. This after he reached out to the Edmonton office to see if he could get the bp product from there, did not exist. Great help in finding a solution we are happy with.

A contractor by the name of Ward Cooper from Old Pro Roofing, who is familiar with this supplier, decided to take on a cash job on the side for me. The price was firmed up with him and I was to pay for the supplies which I agreed to. The day I met Ward at this location, I was told outside of the store the price of material increased by $300 and I would have the pay this, again - I agreed. This so called expert roofer ordered an abundance of product that I didn't need, the wrong product for the flamed roof, and not enough vents. By the time he was to start the job, he decides not to show up at all - numerous calls, texts, various different numbers still NO SHOW, and after waiting two weeks! I finally found a great roofer who owns Exterior Elements, who jumped into action and took over the job which ended up costing me more. It was determined that material needed to be subbed out for what was actually needed, spoke with Dezmond (GM at Spar-Marathon) and he gladly exchanged for the first bunch due to the situation explained. Fast forward, 2 weeks after the job is completed, I had 4 bundles left and some vents, went to take back the extra supplies, speaking with the staff they first tried to refuse the return as the plastic was slightly ripped but decided to return them after a conversation with the driver of the fork lift. Proceeded to the counter to get the refund, they refused to complete it as it is past the 30 day period. I just spent $3700 in material there, used your products based on a contractor you associate yourself with, but yet you can't refund $100 worth of products because of the situation? Offering an instore credit, taking an additional 10% restocking fee was not even an option. The answer was "Sorry - the best I can do is give you the items back". Are you serious??? Looks like this place is just a shady as the contractors they work with. I would not be surprised if there are back door deals going on with roofers who use them inflating costs last minute and back charging to clients. Not compassionate, not understanding, and partners with slim balls. Hope Old Pro Roofing got his kick back he wanted off the backs of clients purchasing material from Spar-marathon supplies. Great way to destroy your name for a small refund you can't override in the system!

This place does not value the customer. Maybe they value the contractors more, because they have a steady business relation with over an extended period of time. But as a regular homeowner, who changes their roof every 20 years, they don’t care to keep you satisfied from A-Z. As soon as you pay and walk out that door, their job is done. But it’s a good thing for google reviews. I definitely would not recommend this supplier.
