★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I began this adventure in 2017 with the 200 hour program, I had no idea it would become a journey of exploration. I was 2 years into retirement and learning how to live on my own. On each step I learn more about myself I have become less judgemental more accepting and value all my past experiences as another brick in my foundation. I completed my 300 hour yoga teacher training in 2020 just in time for the big Pause created by the pandemic. Without that foundation I feel travelling through 2020 would have been pretty rickety. My teachers Cindy and Emma peaked my curiosity and I spent the time learning more and more about Yoga its history and philosophy. I have a studio and teach yoga privately through Zoom. Their support and encouragement has enabled me to take up new challenges with confidence. The 200 and 300 courses gave me a solid understanding of yoga and the opportunity to teach throughout the program enabled me to teach from.my heart. Whether you want to teach or just want to find your self I highly encourage you to take the leap. SOYA is an excellent and well structured program. You will understand the early teachings of yoga through Patanjali's Sutras , dig into the Gita and move through to Upanishads and Hathapradipika. Explore the evolution of yoga from ancient times into modern era.
Yoga is more than physical movement.
