About Southwood Community League
The idea for Edmonton Southwood Community League took shape during a meeting that was attended by 49 residents on March 18, 1990. They were frustrated due to the lack of recreational facilities and programs to meet the needs of the area’s population, which was rapidly growing. This is when the community league was established.
Committees were then struck: social, fundraising, sports, and memberships. In addition, a delegate was appointed to the Mill Woods Cultural and Recreational Facility Association (MCARFA). This group was organized to assist all residents of Mill Woods through their community’s capital projects.
Land Acknowledgement: Edmonton is located within Treaty 6 Territory and within the Métis homelands and Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4. We acknowledge this land as the traditional territories of many First Nations such as the Nehiyaw (Cree), Denesuliné (Dene), Nakota Sioux (Stoney), Anishinabae (Saulteaux) and Niitsitapi (Blackfoot).

Parking is enough for your guest.
Thay have kitchen as well if you want to cook or warm your ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The playground is too simple for a 4 and 6 year player with lots of city-wide playground experience. Great for younger/smaller kids. And it was very cold today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very neat and clean place. You can rent a hall for 100 people easily may be more but not less. Nice and clean washrooms. Easy access for wheelchairs. Friendly staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good community involvement. Went to Santa breakfast here - kids got balloon animals and to Santa. Pictures with Santa were very dark die to back lighting from window. Small details. They had activities for the kids and the pancake are delicious!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented this hall for my girls party .they charged 200 for cleaning as per contract and 100 on top for confetti pieces which was not used I the party it was small pieces inside balloon that burst . I cleaned them with my guest may be couple pieces left they are saying it took them 2 hours *May be they cleaned in slow motion*and not to forget almost half of my guest complaint about not enough lights .
