Gua Sha, is also known as Skin Scraping, it is one of the Traditional Chinese Medicinal therapy. Based on the TCM theory of dermal parts, people in ancient China started to use Ox horn or jade scraping related skin area in order to dredge the channel and invigorate blood circulation and eliminate stasis.

As we learnt that toxicant and negative evil pathogen invade human body through skin, nose and mouth, skin is the first defending door of human body, the longer the pathogen stays in our body the more toxin accumulate, also serious stagnation will form, thereby Qi and Blood obstruction occur. At this point, we use Guasha tool to dip Guasha oil, scrap affected skin area or related meridian point repeatedly. This positive stimulation on typical area make skin produce congestive dots, which lead to ameliorate micro circulation, eventually achieve the goals of dispelling evil pathogen, dredging the channel, nourishing ligament and regulating Qi, removing wind cold, clearing heat and dampness, promoting blood circulation and so on.

โ โ โ โ โ I went to go see Dr. Gao when my lower back injury made its comeback. It came back with a vengeance, and it was crippling. I was unable to walk, or even breathe because anything and everything would cause it to hurt. The pain referred down my legs, and to the front of my abdomen. Dr. Gao did an incredible job of helping me ease the pain, and with repeated sessions, his treatments significantly aided me in my recovery. Don't underestimate how effective acupuncture can be! Dr. Gao is incredible. He is well versed in acupuncture, and you can tell he really cares about his patients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Iโve been suffering from neck, shoulder, back and hip pains for over a year and decided to try acupuncture since I heard so many success stories. Dr. Gao was very professional and carefully explained things to me, and even identified issues that I didnโt think were issues to begin with. The day after the treatment, I felt like I had better quality sleep, felt refreshed and energized. My neck pain feels less sharp, my shoulders feel less tense, and my hips feel better! Iโm looking forward to my next sessions and I highly recommend Dr. Gao.
