This place is for derelicts, and the poorest of white trash. Just driving buy is scary.

Great place to go and get away frome the city life but mak shure you bring what you need or you need to go ing town for what ever you missing no store on thr park

The owner dose not take care of the park he only cares about over charging people there so many other parks that alot nicer and way cheaper especially if you are staying for the full season

1st time ...last year...for the long weekend...was amazing. Looking forward to doing it all again this year. Swimming in the lake, playing on the beach, kids enjoyed the swings and play structure, boat rentals, hiking trails, fireworks, bonfires, board games, washer toss, horse shoes, bocce ball, badminton...

This place is a dump, its so dirty and aesthetically unpleasing! The owner does not keep up with the maintenance in the park. He has a large tractor and litters the woods with garbage, old appliances etc.. He has a graveyard of old inhabitable trailers as soon as you enter the trailer park which is a huge eyesore. The road in is unpassable with a car, its nothing but large holes and huge ruts. If you love you vehicle avoid this place like the plague.

Everything about this park has deteriorated since I first started camping here 16 years ago. Here are some concrete examples so you know that I am not just trolling here. 16 years ago, South Lake had clean washrooms and showers, a clean beach, arcade games and pool tables, and a well-stocked camp store. The roads and trails were bumpy but groomed. It was modest but decent and you could feel good about coming here with your family. Fast-forward to today: - There is no camp store or game room. The building that used to house those things is falling apart and the porch is full of junk. - The washrooms and showers are grimy and the building is in poorer shape than ever. And guess what - you still have to pay per shower. - The beach looks clean at first glance, but there is a lot of broken glass in the grassy areas around it. - The roads are extremely rocky and the trails are overgrown. Good luck not bottoming out your vehicle. Here is the detail that I think best shows what I am talking about here. The road to the camping area (separate from the trailer park area) is now covered with badly damaged trailers that the owner has towed from the trailer park area and dumped there. It started out with one trailer, and we all assumed it was temporary and that someone would eventually dispose of it. Instead, the number of abandoned trailers in this area grows every year. There are about ten of them now, most which have broken windows and are covered in mildew. The fact that the owner has decided that littering his park with hazardous junk is preferable to paying to have it disposed perfectly illustrates how this place has declined. Do not pay to camp here.

Great park. The people here are great friendly and very generous. Every camp site the people would offer some food drinks invite you in like your family. First time their and I felt like I've known everyone for years. Love the park clean the beach is clean and the people who stay their are amazing. Loved it highly recommended for anyone.
