We stopped in to Souris on our trip back to Winnipeg. What an adorable little town. The swinging bridge is something that I always remember visiting as a child, so it was nostalgic to come back. And such gorgeous views while you walk across. I also enjoyed all of the wildlife that we got to encounter. We will be looking to come back next summer for camping!

Glad we took this turn off to explore. The bridge was awesome to walk across. On the other side was an old castle which we didn't go into but admired from outside. Members of the community were very nice as well

Spent a wonderful day in Souris, one of the highlights being the longest suspension bridge in Canada, if not North America. The town of Souris is a beautiful, quaint town with a lovely park and town area facing the river. Definitely a town to be proud of its picturesque and friendly feel.

It's pretty cool. Peacocks roaming around freely is a added touch. Update: took my wife there today, she is new to Canada from Thailand had a nice drive around town as well as taking in the bridge. I like the house prices here compared to Brandon but not thrilled with driving to Brandon every day for work.

Great location. Good tourist spot. Don't forget to visit the museum, antique store and art stores. Local hand made butter is very tasty.

Great Manitoba day trip spot, if you don't live near Souris. We came from Winnipeg for the day. The swinging bridge is full of good fun walking across it with the bounciness factor. You can really tell the difference if you are walking alone on the bridge or if there are other people on it - there is a sway and a bounce to it. Saw a few deer that day. Giant turtle was swimming in the river that day. Picnic tables at one end - nice spot for a midday meal. Public bathrooms as well near the tables. Well kept picnic area. Ample street parking on both sides of the bridge. We will visit this Manitoba attraction again.
