★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me Assouline and her assistant lawyers Me Delisle and Me Gervais are all God sent.
I found a lawyer 2 years back to gain half custody of my niece that I have been raising full time since 2013. I always wanted the best interest of my niece so I needed some legal guardianship to help us. Friends, some family and others said that I would never win. My last lawyer also felt that I should settle for visitation even though my niece is 13 and wanted to be heard. I found Me Assouline on March 26 as I needed a new lawyer. She initially said no to me, being the aunt, but after hearing our story, she realized that my niece's best interest was to stay with me. I went to court this week on April 15th. On April 16th my niece met with a lawyer that Me Assouline provided and yesterday April 17th I was given FULL CUSTODY. She's a magician, but more than that she actually cares. If you need a lawyer and are true to your reasoning, call SOS. I still can't believe what has been done in 3 days ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Valerie is someone that makes you feel like you are talking to your sister, the sister that will fight for you, regardless of what the situation is, she has a way of calming me down, i trusted her the minute we meet, but my case is still on going and pray she will be able to help me, because i can't even cover the cost of my medicine. I want to tell you guys a bit about this week, i have a friend in the worst possible situation, with no access to money and with an abusive husband, after calming her down, because she was so distraught that she became ill, i called Valerie and she answered right away as usual, she saw us an hour later, not only she saw us like on an emergency basics, she didn't charge her, no Lawyer i had ever known will sit down and spend time with a potential client and doesn't charge. She given me back the fired i had when i was growing up and i wanted to be a Lawyer, so i can do exactly what she does, help women, empower them, protect them and defend them, she also Volunteer's and that is something that creates a bigger bond, because i also Volunteer, i wish i was healthier, I would Volunteer so much more if i was and would have gone back to school. Trust me, she is not in only for the money, you will see that the minute you meet her. Thanks Valerie for such a kind gesture with my friend and i be praying you are able to make her strong again and get her what she deserves. Love you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When you first meet this lawyer, she gives you hope that she will make your file her priority. She asks for a high $ retainer up front. Subsequently once you provide her with the $ retainer she ignores you and doesn’t start working on your file until weeks later. This despite several attempts to reach her to no avail. For a few email communications she charges you the full retainer amount and requests for more money. The quality of her letters is unprofessional. In once instance the letter was written by her junior staff. This letter contained many mistakes about my file including grammar related issues. On another note if you challenge her in terms of the content of her letter and or fee she is charging, she takes it personally and becomes loud and rude towards you.
I have had the opportunity to visit many law firms and in my opinion there are many other more professional lawyers than maître Assouline.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the luck to be referred to Valerie Assouline by a close friend of mine who knew full well that the lawyer I chose would likely determine the outcome of my life. My son is the most important thing to me and against all odds , valerie obtained me shared custody of an infant which from what I hear is a very rare and difficult result to obtain. Aside from her professionalism and her determination to deliver a just outcome for her client, as a parent herself, she related to me and my concerns on a personal level which made me instantly comfortable with her. I trusted her. Put my faith in her. And I now have my boy. I recommend her to anyone in need of an attorney relating to family law. Trust you will not be disappointed. When I look at my son on a daily basis, what she did for me comes to mind. I Will never forget it.

In both cases, Valerie Assouline helped us through the negotiation process. During this difficult time, I very much appreciated Vallerie's assertive, yet compassionate approach to advising us. She was quick to respond, and made herself available to complete the process in a timely way. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for advice on job termination.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to share a horrible experience I had with Maître. Valerie Assoulain. I was recommended to her by a family member for a divorce. We filed for joint divorce in may 2018, because of some legalities it wouldn’t be official for 1 year. No problem. One year later I had tried calling many times. No one would answer. I called from a blocked number and Mme.Assouline answered right away. Apparently the court lost my documents, I would have to come sign again. Went back to sign again, and was told that the certificate would be mailed to me. Come November still nothing. Got ahold of them and they said it had been done for a month and they had tried to reach me. Not true at all, as obviously I have been waiting for it and would have either answered or called right away. It was never mailed. Beginning of 2020 I spoke with the receptionist who said she’d mail it out. Never mailed. Last month got another bill from them by email ( still don’t have the certificate of divorce though ) wrote back and asked why the bill, as it was for the bailiff which was already paid ( I still have the copy of that bill) they called me and I was unable to answer. Now I have been calling every single day for the last 2 weeks, left at least 3 voicemails, sent emails and nothing. So I paid for a divorce certificate and still don’t have it. Ended up going to je court to get it myself. Extremely disappointed. And yes before you say I didn’t call or email or anything I have a screenshot of everything.

She is an incredibly dedicated lawyer. She was the best advocate for my daughter, who is 16 months and needed someone to speak on her behalf. Valerie was that person!
