โ โ โ โ โ Afshin makes amazing pizzas! It is the only take-out pizza I will eat now. I highly recommend the holy moly - expensive but singular and satisfying in a way that most pizzas are not. The pomodoro with tomato and garlic is another favourite staple. A rare find: both the crusts on his pizzas as well as the toppings are lovely. Magical! This is our go-to pizzeria.

โ โ โ โ โ I have eaten at all the pizza joints in Burnaby, East Vancouver, Downtown Vancouver, Abbotsford, North Vancouver (I've been here for 27 years lol). Working through Surrey, and West Vancouver at the moment.
I ordered a small vegetarian pizza ($17.99), and I added spinach, broccoli and feta to the pizza.
In the end my total was $23, with change, for the pizza, before tip.
Let me show you what I received: [pictures attached].
I don't even remember tasting the spinach and the broccoli were remnants of the tiniest pieces.
Honestly, I don't even understand lol. The quality of the ingredients are definitely not on par with most lower-end pizza establishments, and definitely not on par with my personal favourite, Pizza Farina (and the pizza there is priced the same, if not less, than what's charged at Sorrento's)
Taste-wise, the crust is similar to what you would get in a frozen boxed pizza. It does have a more homey-taste, which I like, because it was prepared by hand, but nothing does this pizza justice as it's coming from a pre-made thin cracker pie (the ones with holes in them), canned sauce, very little amount of toppings, and shredded mozzerella that the owner does in bulk in the store with that great machine! (it's huge, I want one in my house).
I asked about his charges - he said he was to charge me $4 extra for each topping or some sort.. I honestly stopped listening because I thought it was ridiculous.
Sorrento's is situated in an area of West Vancouver where there is not much in the area.

Owner retorts been here for 25 years (That's his problem) he's stuck in yesteryears thinking while peoples taste have become sophisticated and price conscious ...suggest to go to other pizza shops & ask for double the toppings with thin crust and save #10.
