About Soma Salon & Spa
In May 2004 the doors opened at the very first location of Soma Salon and Spa. From that day forward Soma has dedicated itself to helping its clients find time away from the outside world.
We like to say that our clients deserve “Me Time” and that’s what it’s all about at Soma. Soma is a Greek word that means “body” and encompasses everything done at the spa. From the moment you walk in the doors to the moment you leave, it is clear that you will have entered a haven away from it all.
Our intention is to make sure that everybody feels comfortable, the entire salon is decorated in soothing colours and rich warm fabrics. Soma offers a variety of service from Pedicures & Manicures, Facials and Waxing to Massage and Hair Services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a Basic Shellac Pedicure with Claudia. I've been getting pedi's for years and I can say this is up there with one of the very best ones I have ever had. I am very fussy, so trust me when I say, the nails were all perfectly polished and the leg massage was amazing. Covid protocols are above and beyond. I do think this service is pricey once you include tip, I was over $100 but she was truly worth it. Claudia is also a very professional and pleasant gal who makes very polite conversation and made the experience very enjoyable. I'll be back, she is worth the money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a 90 minute full body massage. The therapist did not complete the massage properly, cut it to just over an hour, and applied so much pressure to my neck resulting in a migraine. I wrote to them to complain and the owner Vicky responded with an apology and a full refund. Please check what qualifications the therapist has and ensure you are safe and comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to Soma East for many massages and pedicures. It's always very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Getting in and out is always very efficient, with excellent service and friendly staff. I am always happy with my pedicures and massages. In fact, I recently had a shellac pedi elsewhere that was terribly done. They cleaned it all up and made it look great with vinyl polish within an hour. I'll keep coming back to this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was gifted a 270 dollar gift card for Soma East so I booked a lash tint and lift. The tech I had was rude and did not explain what she was doing after I asked, and multiple times went on her phone mid appointment. Manager followed up with me and told me I would not be booked with her next time and apologized, all good. Next appointment was booked- they gave me the same tech so I asked for a new one as that's what they told me last time. They offered for me to go to a different location. Manager spoke with me again today and got upset at me during the call, told me "nothing she said is going to make me happy" because I asked her to return the remainder of the giftcard.
Really disappointing and unprofessional 100% could have and should have been handled better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a hot stone massage this am, very relaxing, I would recommend this service to anyone with sore achy muscles. My therapist Kaitlyn M did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend her. The reception was very friendly, thank you Soma East for such great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time to have a therapeutic massage in this spa and my RMT is Kaitlyn. I think this is one of the best places to go for relaxing. The spa clinic is more spacious, well designed from reception up to the massage room. The massage room is also big and relaxing, so if you are a little bit claustrophobic, this will be your comfy place. And of course, overall experience will depend on your RMT and Kaitlyn did really great job! Felt really well after the massage. Even I live in the South-West end of the city, I would love to book and go back to this Spa clinic with her again! :)
