A proudly Canadian company with more than 110 years in the food business, Sobeys Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Empire Company Limited, headquartered in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. The Sobeys name is synonymous with quality and passion. Now we’ve brought it to liquor stores across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Here’s how: in 1993, the Alberta Provincial Government announced the privatization of the liquor retail industry. Capitalizing on this important change, we launched Western Cellars, which opened its first location in Spruce Grove in November 1995. In 2014 Sobeys Liquor acquired Safeway Wine & Spirits. Since then, we’ve grown steadily to over 100 locations across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

Next to a fair sized mall in East Regina with Safeway food store, excellent Beauty Depot hair salon and Shoppers Drug Mart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't been in a liquor store for a while. I was really surprised at the amount of local products that were stocked. Spirits, beer, liquors... all well labeled and advertised as local products. The prices were all reasonable and a great selection.
This location came in really handy, being in the parking lot of the Victoria Square Mall. We finished getting groceries at Safeway..dropped off the bags at the car then just walked over to the Sobeys Liquor Store.
Very handy and very well located.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would have loved to try some of the local blends as I hear Regina has a terrific craft beer market. Unfortunately I was unable to as following an 8 hour bus ride from Alberta, I called this location at 11:45PM to confirm they were open before walking 25 minutes there. As we got to the store at 12:01AM I saw a worker starting their vehicle and inquired if I would be able to head inside and grab a 6 pack with cash. I was informed that they would not be helping me. In total, my brief conversation with the employee lasted longer than what it would have taken to just let me make a brief purchase. Very unfortunate considering they didn’t answer the phone so we could have let them know we would arrive at closing. Also, if you’re closed why is your open sign on?
