★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was an unexpected gem. Our room was very clean and had a full kitchen. It was reasonably priced and the staff were really nice. The grounds are beautiful and there is a creek that runs right behind the hotel that you can hear at night. I want to go back and stay for a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent little motel, great owners comfortable rooms and good high pressure showers. Great central location near Cranbrook, Kimberly, Premier Lake and Fairmount Hotsprings. Boat launch with Kootenay River access next to Motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Husband wasn't allowed to shave in sink to be clean shaven for work, not allowed to use the internet, mold in bathroom, blood stains on floor. Worst motel I've ever seen. To top it off, my husband went back to his room tonight after a long day at work, and the staff hadn't cleaned his room or the other crew members rooms. Also left a note instructing them to vacuum their rooms. Pretty sure it's the hotel staffs jobs to ensure each customer has a clean environment to stay in! ESPECIALLY WITH COVID. Will highly recommend people to AVOID

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here in a 30ft motor home with full hook-ups. I think we were actually the only people in the whole place and it was just lovely. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the showers were hot! I used the coin laundry which worked well and was cheap and fast.
It is a perfect base for seeing Fort Steele or just chilling away from the main towns.
I need to add that our hostess Debra is a Canadian national treasure and she is just one of the sweetest and most helpful people you will ever meet.
If we are ever on our way through here again we would definitely stop at Skookumchuck motel and RV park.
