Registration for our August Obedience Classes is now open!

Classes will start the week of August 29th, 2022.

Registration nights will be August 22nd & 23rd, 2022.

Registration night is for people who have pre-registered for class by paying a deposit.

If you are interested in signing up for one of our Obedience Classes, please send us an email or Facebook message and we will send you the instructions to sign up. Please do not send a deposit without reading through the sign up instructions and conditions.

Monday 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM : Advanced Obedience Class (must have completed Intermediate)

Monday 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM : Beginner Obedience Class (small dogs and puppies under 5 mo.)

Monday 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM : Beginner Obedience Class (all dogs, any age, any size) *FULL*

Monday 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM : Intermediate Obedience Class (must have completed Beginner Class)

Tuesday 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM : Beginner Obedience Class (small dogs and puppies under 5 mo.)

Tuesday 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM : Beginner Obedience Class (all dogs, any age, any size)

Tuesday 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM : Beginner Obedience Class (all dogs, any age, any size)

Tuesday 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM : Intermediate Obedience Class (must have completed Beginner Class)

We will be following all current COVID guidelines. Only two handlers are allowed to attend per dog, this way we can enforce proper physical distancing. Masks are optional for staff and students.

If your dog shows any aggression or reactivity towards dogs or people you are REQUIRED to see us for a private lesson before joining a group class. If you come to group class with an aggressive or reactive dog and didn't disclose that information you will be removed from class with no refund or transfer of funds. If you'd like to book a private lesson send us a Facebook Message or Email.

T	Tessa Hall on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There aren't many dog training options available in Greater Sudbury, but steer clear of Skiplyn Kennels unless you enjoy shame and intimidation. The dog training methods used here are coercive, the trainers are not certified by CCPDT, CAPDT, or APDT, and they are not LIMA-compliant. If you like the feeling of a boot camp drill sergeant yelling at you, then their obedience classes are for you. The dog training methods they use are not modern, science based methods and are not force-free or fear-free. The kennel owner seems more interested in making profits than helping dogs and people have better relationships. You're better off at the more affordable pet store classes or online with professionals who don't hurt their dogs. Also, the classes that occur on the upper level of the building are not accessible, requiring dogs and clients to go up and down steep metal stairs to enter and exit.

I had been to 2 other trainers who couldn't/wouldn't help me and both told me there was no point in tyring to change my dog. A friend recommended Tammy at Skiplyn Kennels and I went thinking she was going to be like the other 2 trainers. I had lost all hope for my dog but I saw a huge difference in my dog after just one private lesson with Tammy. She encouraged me and worked with me to achieve a dog who will not have dog friends but can co-exist separately without reacting. If you are willing to put the work in, Tammy can and will make life the best it can be for your dog. Tammy saved my dog's life and I will be eternally grateful.

Tammy and her trainers want you to have the best relationship with your dog and give you the guidance, help and tips to achieve it. They are professional, direct and honest. Their sole focus is for dogs to live their best possible lives, and for the pet parents to be able to benefit from that too. Keep up the good work!

I can walk her with confidence, I can control her from jumping on my kid and I'm gaining so much knowledge from this as well. A crazy high energy breed who was absolutely uncontrollable no matter what training I tried. Pulling on her lead, reactive & had zero recall, bad around other people and dogs, so much so that she ran away and wouldn't come back to me on busy roads, biting everything. It got so bad I really didn't think I could manage her on my own. It was incredibly frustrating. Our relationship and bond was destroyed as she wasn't listening to me and I was constantly shouting at her. We went to obedience training and puppy classes and the difference after 4 weeks is absolutely out of this world! The work that Skiplyn have done with her is unbelievable and she is like a new dog. Her recall & heeling is fantastic and she almost never wears her lead now as she walks beautifully beside me. Her confidence has grown and she is no longer nervous of other people and dogs. Skiplyn Kennels was the best money I've ever spent and I would pay it all again in a heartbeat. My dog is living her best life right now and our relationship has only grown and improved.
