Wow, what a stunning park and the trails are even more beautiful! Lots of spaces to park. Can't wait to come back here in the summer as well.

This park is amazing. My husband has been going to this park since he was a child and now our family does. This is an amazing park with unique sites, clean showers and stunning views. The park does get busy in the summer months so you'll need to book in advance and get to the beach early. If you have a boat the campground has adapted the first come first serve policy so you'll want be mindful of that. The showers and bathrooms are clean, the staff is friendly, most sites are fair sized and the fishing is GREAT! We love the park and will continue to visiting.

Silent Lake Provincial Park is my favourite park close to the GTA. I've now been in the summer and winter, and for both seasons there are affordable rentals for beginners. Snowshoe rentals for $15 a day, and canoe rental was $35 for around 6 hours. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the amenities are all clean and well organized. The absolute best part is that the lake is really silent! It's an amazing getaway from the big city.

Silent Lake is just that!…incredibly silent & surreal with footpaths & trails ranging from 3k to 16k. A trail runner’s paradise & hiker’s delight with varied options of trail difficulty. Park open year round with winter cabins, cross country skiing & hikes. Although a drive from Toronto, absolutely worth the view and a great reprieve from the city traffic & congestion. Happy trails! Be prepared you’re in bear country as the signs throughout the park designate.

Winter wonderland with many amazing trails. Cabins were modernized ( compared to arrowhead). Comfort stations had a weird smell but other than that, enjoyed the stay here !

We had a good overall winter weekend camping trip and our first to the park in winter as a family. Snow conditions were excellent and amazing views of the night starry skies under old growth trees. Notable issues to be aware of: 1) Granite Ridge comfort station is CLOSED so you have to drive to day use for drinking water or a bathroom, major inconvenience 2) yurts leak water all over the inside floor so you cannot keep personal effects on the floor 3) Picnic tables at yurts are not covered, nor do staff clean off the deck or tables for you. Expect your table to be frozen. 4) there is only one outlet in the yurts so bring an extension cord and power bar so that you can charge phones, lanterns or bowl or a kettle

We are currently staying in one of the rustic cabins at Silent Lake. The cabins have a gas fireplace and even the vestibules now have electric heaters. Very comfortable. Facilities are all spotless and even the decks and walkways are clear of snow! We've been exploring some of the groomed trails on my fat bike which has been excellent. We were here in September as well which was great. Love this park.

I went for a few hours as a day trip. The staff are really friendly and it’s easy to find the lake. The beach is slightly less busy than the average beach. The view is really pretty and there’s a variety of hiking trails around the lake. You have the option to canoe or kayak in the water. There’s nearby washrooms with charging outlets and mirrors. There’s a lot of room for parking and a great camp store.
