Hard working staff, great team work between departments, hands-on management, fun rec activities, very clean premises, great food. 10/10 recommend if your loved one needs the kind of complex care this place offers.

I have worked here as the Community Relations Manager since August. The teamwork and the amount of support we get from our VP and head office is second to none. On the ground the staff and management work tirelessly together to ensure families and current residents are taken care of. Part of my job is dealing with people coming in the building and touring and getting the right information. The other part is making sure our relationships in the community here in Sidney are maintained and improved upon. Every single person i am introduced to says the same thing. What a beautiful community and what amazing staff. I agree! So happy we are moving to Sidney as well so i can really get to know the locals

Absolutely disgusting place to work and all thanks to the toxic management. First of all, the management do not abide by their bullying and harassment policies seriously at all. Staff do not feel safe to bring their concerns to them. Bullies are roaming around freely. I feel so bad for the staff and the residents. This review is honest and based upon my experience working here. Secondly, they dont treat staff equitably. They have their own toxic games/rules. No wonder why all of the amazing staff left already. Only staff and nurses are working so damn hard to maintain their image. Shame on this toxic management. Moreover, the management is fighting with each other. Lol how can they take care of their employees and residents. I think VIHA should takeover this and get rid of this toxic management ASAP. **Edit Hi Sheila - your response is a desperate effort to save face. Of course you don’t have record of "Max" working for you. As an employee, I had to post anonymously having witnessed how you retaliate against people who speak out against your bullying. If the outside “HR consultant” you refer to is Deb Sloat, no one will talk to her as your personal relationship with her is well-known and no one has confidence in her. The respectful workplace policies you have staff sign are nice in theory but because senior management does not abide by them, employees feel unsafe to bring claims of bullying and harassment forward. If your staff felt safe working there, then I encourage you to ask yourself why so many have left because of the stressful work environment? Working through a pandemic has been challenging enough and toxic senior management has made it unbearable. On paper, your resident-care hours may be more than funded, however, the level of care being offered is not what you’re selling, and nursing and care staff are stretched thin to the breaking point. Since my review was posted, you have had staff put up positive reviews because you are more concerned about the truth tarnishing your image than you are about actually addressing the problems. The sham of All Care, We Care, I Care has gone on long enough and people should know the truth. Senior management has ruined what used to live up to its name of a great family place for residents to call home. Lots of amazing staff have left due to the way things are now and the level of care is more comparable to that of funded living versus what All Care wants you to believe you're buying. The frontline staff are amazing and admirable but are not supported and bullying and intimidation is the new standard accepted/ implemented by senior management. It is not a safe place to express concerns. Sad for the residents, their families and the amazing employees still there supporting it all-they are the ones holding up the good name.

As a long term employee of 7 years, I can honestly say I love where I work! The staff are exceptional and care for the residents as their own grandparents. The benefits and "little extras" such as the Health and wellness fund show the management team care about their employees and provide work life balance. The management team has an open door policy and is always there to provide the support we need- thank you. With any facility there are always small glitches, but when you have the most amazing team of health care professionals, food service, housekeeping, recreation and management you get through it together-and we have! I couldn't imagine working anywhere else because I know just how well the residents are cared for at SACR.

I have only been with the company for a short time and as a new graduate I feel very supported by the team at SACR. It is rare to see the staff without a smile on their face and supporting the residents who live there. I find that management is always willing to listen and strives to solve any issues that may arise. I love my co-workers and look forward to working with all members of each team! Michelle has made it an easy transition for me as a new graduate and has done nothing but support my continual learning as well as offer me new opportunities! She supports the team and advocates for the residents as well as the staff! No where in healthcare is perfect but the residents are treated with the utmost respect and the staff are generally very happy, it makes coming to work way more fun!

I found that Sidney All Care Residence is such a perfectly lovely place to work as a long term care. All staff are very helpful, willing to do jobs, bringing all high spirits to the work place. It’s very impressive to me. I felt their collaborating at every corner of the building, paying attention whether anyone needs help or not and responding to each another to support on the way to go. The 4 -floor building has very spacious rooms, impressive views, pretty trees outside from window, cozy staff rooms, university like theatre for audience and sweet Parkade on 1st floor made the perfect Nursing home. No snow scratching on car windscreen anymore! The door lock system and fence wall are extra —super safe. Every single of residents is respected, treated carefully and politely. All staff treated the residents by hearts and professional concept. The residents look happy here with close families and excellent service from staff. The management team by Michelle Paul DOC and Nicki Parker Administrative manager is very strong, direct, supporting and professional. All have reflected on how staff perform on their care to the residents. Senior nurses here like Susan, Monique, Addy and Ore are superb with knowledge, advice and experiences as professionals. All of them made me feel of the encouragement of loving to work in Nursing Home as a nurse. Everyday I am waiting to come to work on my lovely shift. What a nice place to visit and work as Long Term Care in our lovely island city of Sidney, close to Victoria in Vancouver Island, BC !

My mum has been a resident of Sidney All Care for six months. The facility is extremely clean, the food is great and the staff are friendly and kind. They treat the elderly residents like members of their own family. I visit my mum twice a week and and have never passed a member of staff in the hallway without a friendly greeting from them. The rooms are equipped with everything the elderly need to provide a safe and cozy environment, and the residents can decorate their rooms with their own pictures and possessions. There are many daily activities to participate in. There are also monthly birthday parties, and special events. There is always something to do! My mum loves the staff, her room, and always has someone to talk to. She loves living at Sidney All Care, and I love having the peace of mind knowing my mum is in good hands. Thank you. Gwyn D.
