★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have dealt with Shoppers repeatedly over the course of the last year after getting COVID. I've always been impressed, but never as impressed as I am with the Squamish pharmacist (also shout out to the Nanaimo pharmacist who patiently helped me through hell.) The female pharmacist in Squamish, BC, went above and beyond, my faith in the goodness of humanity is becoming restored. Thank you so incredibly much for your dedication, answering questions, picking up the phone whenever I've needed your help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff is friendly but not very efficient, at least for your first time there. For one simple prescription, I had to come in twice. Once to "register as a customer" and a second time to pick up the prescription which can be prepared in a few minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pharmacy seems under staffed and because of this they can never find your prescription, will leave you standing there forever without even a “one minute please,” and rush you when you have questions or need to update something. It’s never a great experience. I don’t blame the staff, there is clearly a staffing issue.

That was customer service above and beyond...despite calling and being on hold for 8 minutes...I got through to the Pharmacy and talked to pharmascits, John- my poor 71yo Dad, visiting from Vernon, ran out of his asthma inhaler and we needed help. Dad has a prescription in Vernon Shoppers Drug mart 400km away... So John looked in system.... And called us back to inform we could pick up anytime until midnight! Wow!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went there at 7pm to fill out my prescription. I asked if I can use the washroom. The cashier who had pink hair told me sorry the washroom closes at 6pm. When this Shoppers closes at midnight, they shut down the bathroom at 6 pm. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
Will not be going back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is to be noted that it is by no means the fault of the staff, they are genuinely doing their best under the circumstances they have been given; however, I have experienced a few instances when prescriptions have been lost or not processed despite talking directly to the pharmacist to have them filled. There is no fault of the staff; I have seen how busy they are on numerous occasions and they handle it with grace every time -- kudos to them!! However, perhaps this indicates a staffing shortage in the department that should be addressed -- Squamish is growing in population rapidly, and budgets should reflect this to ensure the staff is set up for success and not overburdened with a steady incline of inquiries.
