We are currently in the process of building our second home with Shane Homes in the last 3 years, our first experience was amazing, seamless and we loved our sales person Karen which is why we decided when we were ready to build again to return to Karen in another community in Airdrie. When we walked into the Show Home, Karen immediately remembered us (having not seen us for 2 years) advised who she was speaking to that she needed to go as her "boys" were here and came and gave us a hug as if we had been friends for years. We told her what we were looking for, toured a couple show homes, got some brochures and chatted for a good hour about life with Karen and the other area manager Jeff. She has genuine interest in what we had been up to and had remembered things from 2 years, even after dealing with what I’m sure is 100's of people within the period. After leaving we felt really good that we were going to build with Shane again. The next day we stopped by and Karen had come up with a design and added things that she thought we would like knowing us(which are features we had previously talked about on our own and had forgot to mention) and kept it below the top end of budget AMAZING. Throughout the building process there has been normal hiccups which needs to be expected when building a new home, my one piece of criticism is we asked to provide some of our own plumbing products in order to save some money as we have a connection to a plumbing whole sale. Although Shane agreed to it, it has been a bit of a head ache, we have had to essentially act as a project manager for the couple pieces of product we provided, and had to direct the plumbing company(who sells the products we provided) how to install our steam shower as they had never done it(yet they sell the product) we were also charged so many "extra" costs to make up for the lost revenue by Shane and in the end actually only ended up saving about $1500.00. This will be part of my decision when deciding to build my next home on whether I will choose Shane homes, As a business man if I had a customer at 26 years old who has spent $1,000,000 in 3 years on houses with me and I would try my best to make that process seamless solely based on the logic that this person (me) will likely build a home every 3-5 years and is very customer service orientated and will make decisions based on experience. Other than that I would recommend Shane Homes, we have only dealt with one sales person with our two homes but if the rest are half as awesome as Karen then count yourself lucky!

Building with Shane Homes has been the worst experience we have ever had. We are have so many deficiencies with the house and they never fix them correctly which causes them to have to come back over and over which results in days off work and lost wages for us since they refuse to work after hours or on weekends. We have been in our home for just over a year now and still have tons of the same deficiencies that we had on our first walk through. All of our doors have been binding and some won't even close and they have been adjusted so many time that we now have no more room for adjustment and they still don't close right. Our tile grout has been cracking and falling out. The top soil we were given has huge rocks of more then 1 foot around and sticks 1 foot long and 1-3 inches around all through it and our landscape company said they would have to remove it all to have a proper lawn installed. The Drywallers drywalled over our heat vent in the basement bathroom to which when we asked why our bathroom did have heat we were told it didn't need it and since we had a floor warmer installed that it would heat the room anyway even though to date that floor warmer doesn't work because they install it wrong. Our garage door opener ripped right out of the garage door within 3 months. You can see paint roller mark from the street all over the painted areas. All of our neighbours runoff water drains into our yard because the two yards are not graded properly. Our chandelier fell right out of the ceiling and could have kill someone. Our list goes on and on like this so before you build with Shane Homes read the reviews and talk to people that have built with Shane before and even though the show home look nice your home will probably not be done the same, they put extra care and attention in to show homes to help make sales.

I would like to thank Shane Homes for accepting my request to fix Roof leak of my house free of cost. I am satisfied with the repair work completed last week by Shane Homes. My house was built by Shane homes in 2010. Shane Homes will remain my first choice Builder. Keep up the good work.

From the time we purchased our new townhouse until we took possession, we found all the staff and sales people at Shane Homes to be very helpful. They answered all our questions & didn't mind when we came to them to request a couple of changes. Thank you to everyone for bringing our dream home into reality. Kudos to the sales staff, design center staff, and tradespeople. We would recommend Shane Homes to family & friends. We love our new home. Donna Roode

Our home building experience with Shane Homes in Legacy has been an overall positive experience. There have been ups and downs, but we are satisfied with the service and product we have received and would recommend Shane Homes to others. Shane Homes was very open to adjusting and changing the floor plans and options to help us get the perfect home for us. There were a few changes we wish the sales team understood more thoroughly or understood what the ramifications of those changes would be so that they could have advised us more fully of potential issues. My advise to others to avoid this kind of situation, is to not let the sales team rush you through the drawing check stage, and to not sign off the final drawings until they exactly match what you are asking for. The sales team will tell you that your possession date will be impacted, but at least you won't have to worry about any serious issues coming up during the build phase, when it is typically too late to address any un-implemented changes. Through out our build phase Shane Homes was still very responsive to addressing the few short comings we saw during our visits. One thing Shane Homes can improve on is getting better quality and service out of their sub-contractors, specifically the cabinet makers and appliance suppliers and their after-sales support. The cabinets had several workmanship issues and the quality of service from the appliance supplier has been abysmal, not only did they deliver the wrong washer and dryer, they couldn't follow simple colour coordination to hook up the hot water tap to the hot water inlet on the washing machine. As for after-sales support, the service is okay but there is room for improvement. All in all it has still been a great experience building our first home with Shane Homes, and would consider building with them again in the future.

Our family is currently in the process of building our third home with Shane Homes and we couldn't be happier! Our experiences with Shane Homes has been nothing short of amazing. From our first initial meeting with Jeff and Derek at the Nolan Hill show home, Marion at the design center and everyone involved in the construction process, our expectations have been surpassed. The service and quality of their staff and trades are second to none. We built our first Shane Home in 2003 and now, in 2015, with our third home under construction, we couldn't imagine building with any other home builder. Throughout the years, our family has grown and Shane Homes has always been able to accommodate the needs of our family. It was important for us to have the ability to customize our home to suit our family of six. The expertise accompanied by the patience of everyone involved throughout the design process has been greatly appreciated and it really shows that Shane Homes really does go out of their way for their customers. We can't thank Shane Homes enough for what they have done for our family and we would most definitely recommend Shane Homes to anyone looking for a great quality home builder. Thank you Shane Homes!

Me and my partner just moved in our newly built Shane Homes & we're so loving it! We got a duplex spec home but we were still allowed to choose the interiors, appliances, plumbing, lighting, window blinds, closet & bathroom enclosures since the house is just in the process of framing when our offer got accepted. Pinecrerk area manager Erin Jorgensen is very accomodating, responsive & professional. Building with Shane Homes is one of the best decision me and my partner ever made!
